I left and washed my hands of the situation. Had 20+ years invested but made the right choice and am happy and sleep at night.
The eyes are a window to the soul and you’re looking into a black, soul-less void. It’s the closest you’ll ever get to hell. I find myself unconsciously looking away.. cannot physically handle eye contact.
