Not dissing Trump here because he was just quoting the priest, but that's a very clever, satanic attempt to diminish the Sovereignty of God, and to place humanity above God, ie: humanism.
No. God does not need humans. In fact, He says so in the Book of Job. If there were no humans, God could function just fine.
God is self-sufficient; He needs nothing. He is Omnipotent, not impotent.
That said, God does use humans to advance His Kingdom but it is Him ALLOWING humans to be used, not NEEDING humans to be used.
It's an undeserved privilege to be used of God.
Satan is not stupid. He knows it appeals to the human ego to think that God is a tottering, old man Who cannot function, and/or get anything done, without humans helping Him. It's actually the other way around.
