As the technology teacher and coordinator in the Upper School at Holy Trinity, I:
- Teach technology to students in grades 5-8, including online research skills, blogging, Google Drive applications, digital literacy, and keyboarding.
- Identify and implement a range of online resources and Apps to help student reinforce learning in their core classes - such a Typing Club, Mathletics, and Reading A-Z.
- Coach teachers to integrate technology and online resources into their teaching, and differentiate instruction for their students
- Manage the Rosetta Stone program for Spanish classes and 9 other Independent Study foreign languages.
- Purchase and manage hardware, including Chromebooks and iPads.
- Supervise the 1:1 Chromebook program for the 7th and 8th grades.
- Maintain a series of blogs to support collaboration among our teachers, families and students.
- Keep up to date on the latest developments in educational technology, and share findings with the staff.
- Supervise technology interns from Georgetown University.
- Moderate the yearbook.

Welcome to the third year of the HTS Summer Learning Blog. We have gathered all our summer assignments in one place, but beyond that, I would like to highlight a variety of fun, often techie ways to help students prevent the "summer slide."
