I regularly see professors attempt to make similar points in my political science classes. They cherry pick a study that was clearly done in a questionable manner and go on an easily disprovable rant. The media bias chart is a good example. My professor showed it in class in an attempt to say the left isn't biased and the right is insane. All I had to do was ask who made it and how.

I asked him if he could see how a focus on this issue could skew the entire chart right and how if it focused on abortion or gun control the chart could be skewed way left. He admitted that was a good point and it shut down his anti-right rant.

 

Don't argue or get mad just look at the information and ask politely ask questions. They aren't as smart as they think they are and making them squirm in front of a class is the best way to derail this shit.
