Partner nations Special Operations Forces fast-rope into a small village during Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) rehearsals at #BrightStar21, Sept. 11, in Mohamed Naguib Military Base, #Egypt.

Fast-roping works well for insertion and extraction operations in environments when the helicopter cannot touch down. BS21 is a multilateral exercise allowing full-spectrum military, interagency and ministerial response to near-peer and irregular warfare threats.
