Three Former US Intelligence Officers Admit to Spying for Emirati Cyber Group Darkmatter
Three former US intelligence operatives have admitted to charges they gave the United Arab Emirates advanced spy tools and helped them break into computers around the globe, including in the United States.
According to court documents filed in a Washington, DC, federal court on Tuesday, Marc Baier, Ryan Adams and Daniel Gericke left their intelligence jobs in the US to work for Project Raven, an advanced cyber ops program run by Emirati intelligence company DarkMatter.
"Defendants used illicit, fraudulent, and criminal means, including the use of advanced covert hacking systems that utilized computer exploits obtained from the United States and elsewhere, to gain unauthorized access to protected computers in the United States and elsewhere and to illicitly obtain information," the court document says.
The men are charged with violating the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations; and conspiracy to commit access device fraud and computer hacking offenses.

Teutopolis, IL School District Confines Five Students in Isolation for Hours as Punishment for Protesting Mask Mandate
The Teutopolis, IL Unit 50 School District confined five students in isolation in separate rooms for several hours for not wearing a mask as a way of protesting the school’s mask mandate.
The Edgar County Watchdogs obtained a photo of one of the students confined in a small room. The student appeared to be of high school age.
However, new rules were approved in the States of Illinois governing the isolation of students. It states that isolation may be used only if the student’s behavior presents an imminent danger of serious physical harm to the student or to others, when other less intrusive measures have been tried and failed, staff members have been trained in isolation techniques, etc.”

Only a year ago, the US was experiencing its largest economic expansion in history. After the COVID nightmare, the economy was back on track and expanded 33.1% in the 3rd Quarter for the greatest GDP on record.
Oh, how times have changed under the Biden regime. The Atlanta FED has adjusted downward its expectations for the economy in the 3rd Quarter by 40%. Where the GDP estimate for the 3rd Quarter 2021 was above 6%, it is now slightly above 3%.

US Army troops have 3 months to get COVID-19 vaccine or may get kicked out
All active-duty soldiers in the U.S. Army must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 15 or they could be kicked out of the military, the U.S. Army said in an email to American Military News on Tuesday. Reserve and National Guard units must be fully vaccinated by June 30, 2022.
The Army said it will “fully comply” with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s order requiring all troops to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
According to the Army, soldiers who reject the vaccine will initially go through counseling with their chain of command and medical personnel, but continued refusal “could result in administrative or non-judicial punishment” including “relief of duties or discharge.”

More than 7 million ballots in the Gavin Newsom recall election have already been received by California elections officials ahead of the Sept. 14 election date.
San Diego said it would release its first update containing both mail ballots and early in-person votes shortly after polls close.
For Election Day votes, a county spokesperson wrote in an email that such ballots "must be driven in from 221 voting locations across San Diego County," adding, "It may take us until 2 a.m. to get all the precinct ballot into the count for our final unofficial election night results."
Late-arriving mail-in ballots and provisional ballots (when someone misses the Aug. 30 registration but conditionally registers at an in-person polling place) will be counted after that.
All counties have 30 days to certify results, and San Diego County expects to "use every minute of the certification period to make sure every eligible vote is counted and the results are accurate."
Los Angeles will release at least three "sets" of election results. The first, which will be released sometime after polls close after 8 p.m. on Election Day, will contain mail ballots received prior to Election Day. The second will be all in-person ballots cast during the 10-day early voting period leading up to Sept. 14, and the third will be all in-person ballots cast on Election Day itself.
Late-arriving ballots (any ballot postmarked on Sept. 14 and received within seven days of Election Day will be counted) will be added to the tally "throughout the official election canvass," the county's elections office wrote in an email.

Afghanistan: UN Cites ‘Credible’ Reports of Taliban Killing Former Gov’t Officials and Their Family Members
UN Human Rights chief “said there had also been cases where ex-government officials and their relatives had been arbitrarily detained and were later found dead.”
The UN human rights office confirmed that the United Nations received “credible” reports that the Taliban is killing ex-government officials and their relatives.
“My office has received credible allegations of reprisal killings of a number of former ANSF (Afghan National Security Forces) personnel, and reports of officials, who worked for previous administrations and their family members being arbitrarily detained,” UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet told the agency’s Human Rights Council on Monday.
The UN human rights chief cited “’multiple’ allegations of Taliban house-to-house searches looking for officials from the previous government and “people who cooperated with US security forces and companies,” she added.
The UN disclosure further confirms news reports that the Taliban has drawn up kill-lists and carrying out door-to-door searches for government officials and security personnel belonging to the deposed Afghan government.
