Saw this Akron news article in the comments which narrowed down the state; clicked on the Sports section (kek) to confirm this is, indeed, Ohio's Akron.

Curious about where so many stories take place but am usually left hanging. The ongoing trend in journalism in general seems to be to be as vague as possible when it comes to locations/specific city/state as possible.

 

For example, they write as though "Florida" is its own city/town. Guess that's where "Florida Man" came from - the mediots.

 

Don't expect twatter to be specific, as these are locals. Just a media rant.
