There are 3 categories of anons:
Patriots
Shills
Newfags who still don't understand what side they're on.
Within those 3 categories of anons, here are those who respond:
Patriots - those who are (probably correctly) calling out a shill; those who are going drill instructor and trying to get the anon to snap out of it; and those who are quite sincerely trying to buck up the spirits of someone who is genuinely down
Shills - just doing their assholish thing; if you don't know what that is, think hard and you'll probably figure it out
Newfags who don't know their status - just trying to say something for the sake of personal relevance.
Everyone else stays quiet and just looks for good research, memes and prayers. They only speak here if they have what they conclude (probably correctly) is a useful observation, or a pertinent question.
I generally fall in the latter category, except that I cannot pass up the opportunity to drop a few one-liners. I'm a good foxhole buddy that way.
