>Lysine is common treatment for Herpes outbreaks. Seems to work by slowing viral replication

lysine is a very effective and permanent cure for Herpes Simplex, if used correctly. HOWEVER, it is capable of doing this because the protein sheath of the HS virus contains zero lysine. by flooding your system with lysine while simultaneously avoiding all other sources of protein (amino acids), the virus will be tricked into incorporating lysine when it tries to replicate its protein sheath, rendering it inactive.

based on this understanding of the mechanism of lysine's action against HS, it is reasonable to conclude lysine will be INEFFECTIVE against viruses that do not share the same trait of having no lysine in their protein sheath, which includes coronaviruses.

>Plus, it is virtually impossible to avoid all other amino acids,

it's easy… no meat, no dairy. duh! the quantities of protein in other foods are so low as to be inconsequential.
