MBMC has refused to comment for this story after repeated requests for comment.

Snider provided documentary proof of the COVID case load of the MBMC system, whose COVID patients do not track national trends, and where the number of COVID patients in ICU were, at many points, a single, solitary person.

“I would have to adjust the airflow in some of the rooms of people in the ICU with COVID, they were fine. I believe in COVID, I know it’s serious, but I also personally saw people who were fine, they had a terminal case of boredom. I spoke with these people and they weren’t sick at all, they felt fine but were told they had to stay there. Many brought their PlayStations with them to waste away the days with video games instead.”

ICE HSI investigation leads to 25-year sentence for child exploitation

LONDON, Ky. – A previously convicted child sex offender was sentenced to serve 25 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to production of child pornography.

The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch.

The announcement was made Tuesday by HSI Nashville Special Agent in Charge Jerry C. Templet Jr. and the acting U.S. Attorney for the eastern district of Kentucky.

“Because of exceptional efforts by our HSI agents, a previously convicted child sex offender has been sent to federal prison to serve a lengthy sentence, where he will be unable to victimize other vulnerable children,” said HSI Nashville Special Agent in Charge Jerry C. Templet, Jr. “We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to remove these offenders from our communities and ensure they pay for their incomprehensible actions.”

Court records show that from Aug. 2020 through Nov. 2020, Andrew J. Kerr, 32, of Corbin, Kentucky, recorded multiple videos of himself engaging in sexual acts with a minor victim. He transmitted the explicit images of the victim on Snapchat, a social media platform. Kerr then saved and stored images and videos of the minor victim on his cell phone.

In 2008, Kerr was previously convicted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky of criminal abuse in the first degree for abusing a 12-year-old child.

Under federal law, Kerr must serve 85% of his prison sentence and upon his release from prison, he will be supervised by U.S. Probation for life.

Jersey City Police Officer Pleads Guilty to Charge That He Traveled to Atlantic City in Attempt to Sexually Assault Two Underage Girls

Acting Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck announced that an officer of the Jersey City Police Department pleaded guilty today to a charge that he traveled to Atlantic City, N.J., in order to sexually assault two underage girls. The defendant had communicated using a chat app with other adults who indicated they would provide him with access to children he could sexually assault. The officer was suspended by the department following his arrest on February 26, 2021.

Stephen T. Wilson, 34, of Bayonne, pleaded guilty today to an accusation charging him with one count of second-degree Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault before Superior Court Judge Bernard E. DeLury Jr. in Atlantic County. Under the plea agreement, the state will recommend that Wilson be sentenced to eight years in state prison. He will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law and will be subject to parole supervision for life. Sentencing for Wilson is scheduled for October 21, 2021.

Deputy Attorney General Rachael Weeks represented the Division of Criminal Justice Financial & Cyber Crimes Bureau in the plea proceedings. Wilson was arrested in an investigation by the New Jersey State Police, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice.

Wilson was arrested after he traveled to Atlantic City to meet adults who offered him access to underage girls. Wilson had encountered the other adults through an incest chat group, and they offered him access to two girls, ages 10 and 8, to sexually assault in exchange for $200. He had condoms and more than $500 in cash in his possession when he was arrested.

“Predators like Wilson will go to great lengths to sexually exploit children, but law enforcement will go farther to bring them to justice,” said Acting Attorney General Bruck. “Let this sentence serve as a warning to anyone who believes they can exploit or prey on innocent children. We will continue to work with our partners to aggressively investigate and prosecute child predators.”

“This guilty plea reflects our commitment to protect children and bring offenders like Wilson to justice,” said Director Lyndsay Ruotolo of the Division of Criminal Justice. “We will continue partnering with law enforcement at all levels in order to expand our reach and capture those who seek to sexually abuse and exploit children.”

Candace Ayers, a beloved grandmother from Springfield, Illinois, traveled to Mississippi in July after receiving her second dose of the Moderna vaccine in early March.

“I took my parents to get that second jab, and we were all so excited,” said their son, Marc Ayers. “We are a family that believes in science. We believe in masks, and we believe in vaccines. We were ready to get back to normal.”

After her trip to the south, Ayers tested positive for Covid and was hospitalized for three weeks and put on a ventilator before passing away.

The family blasted unvaccinated Americans in Ayers’ obituary because she traveled to a state with a ‘low vaccination rate.’

“This all could have been avoided,” Ayers said. “This could have been prevented by a few acts of kindness. They were in a state that had one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country. Getting a vaccine and wearing a mask for others … had this been done, she would be here today.”

“She was vaccinated but was infected by others who chose not to be. The cost was her life,” the obituary read.

“She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 43 years, Terry of Springfield; her children Marc (Samantha) Ayers of Springfield, and Amanda Foster and her triplet 5-year-old grandchildren Andie, Daniel, and Charlotte Foster of Springfield who were the loves of her life.”

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky last month said that people who received the Covid vaccine early on are at an increased risk for severe disease.

Twitter Said It Blocked Hunter Biden Stories Because U.S. Intelligence Shared ‘Rumors’ Of Biden Hack

On Tuesday, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) determined that Twitter did not violate election laws by suppressing a damaging story about then-candidate Joe Biden’s son Hunter. While speaking to the FEC, the head of Twitter’s Site Integrity Team, Yoel Roth, said U.S. intelligence officials had shared “rumors” of the possibility that Joe Biden was in danger of being hacked.

The Washington Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross reported that Roth used these “rumors” to justify the social media giant’s suppression of the Hunter Biden story, which was initially broken by the New York Post. The Post had obtained a laptop purportedly belonging to Hunter that had been left at a computer repair shop in Delaware.

On Wednesday, the FEC released documents relating to its decision to dismiss the complaint against Twitter, which was filed by a conservative group. All six members of the commission, which includes Democrats and Republicans, voted to dismiss the complaint.

“The commission pointed to Roth’s testimony that U.S. officials warned him individuals close to political campaigns would likely be targeted in ‘hack-and-leak’ operations close to the election. Roth said he met frequently throughout 2020 with government officials to discuss election security. He said he learned in one of the meetings that ‘there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden,’” Ross wrote.

As Ross noted, the FEC didn’t come to a conclusion about whether Hunter Biden’s laptop was hacked, but no evidence exists to suggest that was the case.

Roth, the Twitter executive who spoke to the FEC, is hardly a nonpartisan actor. He has routinely insulted Republican politicians and conservative voters. Last year, he referred to former President Donald Trump and his administration as “ACTUAL NAZIS.” While the votes were being counted in 2016, Roth tweeted that “we fly over those states that voted for a racist tangerine for a reason.” He’s praised anti-Trump rallies and called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) a “bag of farts.”

When reporting about the FEC decision, The New York Times claimed the Post stories were “unsubstantiated,” even though the FBI was provided the laptop ahead of the Post reporting and there is no evidence to suggest the laptop isn’t authentic.

In fact, Hunter himself admitted that it is “certainly” possible the laptop really is his, though he added that it could have been stolen or hacked. The owner of the computer repair shop where it was left provided a receipt with Hunter’s signature showing he dropped off the laptop.

Without any evidence the laptop or its information was fake, Twitter blocked links to the Post’s article and also suspended the Post’s account, citing policy about publishing hacked information. Other social media outlets also blocked access to the article in the weeks before the 2020 election. No such action was ever taken by these outlets when the damaging information was against former President Donald Trump. For example, The New York Times reported information about Trump’s taxes that it could not have obtained legally, since tax information is private. Twitter took no issue with the Times publishing that information.

You love COVID so much you want it to spread into schools, at the office, in the Walmart, on the cruise ships, and at the club. That great spongy ball with the red spikes? Then after calling the GOP "weirdos" and pointing out some COVID-related stats and tragedies, Reid noted that far-left California Gov. Gavin Newsom's strict COVID policies — well, except for the ones that apparently don't apply to him — are what helped him avoid a recall this week.

"Republicans, your thirst for COVID is why you lost," Reid continued. "Nobody likes your policies that threaten our safety and our kids. You may want COVID. You may want to ingest horse de-wormer and attend far too many funerals, but we don't."

Reid has an untold number of fans in her leftist camp who'd love it if she ramped up her ranting, but not everyone was down with her colorful characterizations of Republicans:

Queensland legalises voluntary assisted dying

Voluntary assisted dying is now law in Queensland.

This afternoon the parliament voted to legalise the right of the terminally ill to choose when to end their life.

The legislation demands the patient be suffering intolerably from a terminal illness, have fewer than 12 months to live, have obtained more than one medical opinion, be over the age of 18 and have the capacity to make the decision.

Medical staff and faith-run organisations will retain the right to conscientiously object.

Members of parliament were today given a conscience vote, meaning they were free to vote based on the opinions of their constituents as well as their own personal, religious and moral convictions, rather than be bound by their political party.

The legislation doesn't take effect until January 2023.

Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania and South Australia have all passed voluntary assisted dying laws.

Less than two weeks after an already abbreviated period of time for the public to review and comment on the proposed regulatory change, Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services circulated a draft final rule that violates the clear language of Obamacare in order to benefit Planned Parenthood and other corporate abortion interests. The leaked document, dated August 10 and more than 300 pages long, was then sent to the Office of Management and Budget for final approval, according to multiple sources familiar with the federal rule making process. OMB posted confirmation of receipt August 19, a mere 50 days after the major rule change was first proposed to the public.

“In their rush to finalize the rule, HHS and [Secretary Xavier] Becerra are making a mockery of the rule making process. Their efforts to minimize public input and provide only cursory review shows the rule was predetermined,” said Rachel Morrison, a policy analyst at the Ethics & Public Policy Center who submitted comments opposing the rule.

In order to pass the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, in 2010 on a mostly party-line vote, Democrats included a provision to placate pro-life members of the party reluctant to vote for it. Section 1303 of the bill requires separate billing for medical procedures that end unborn human lives. Pro-life Democrats said this would ensure no federal funds were spent on abortions. Plan users would write one check for their premium, and another for an abortion rider.

However, the Obama administration ignored the statutory language and made it harder for plan users to know if they were funding abortion by allowing insurers to bury the abortion surcharges deep in plan documents. Before the end of the Trump administration, the regulation governing such payments for abortion was updated to make it compliant with the law as written. Planned Parenthood and then-California Attorney General Xavier Becerra sued to block the rule. Becerra was rewarded by Biden, who regularly emphasizes his devotion to the Roman Catholic Church, with an appointment as secretary of Health and Human Services.

On July 1, the Biden administration proposed to eliminate and replace the Trump administration’s separate billing requirement.

Normally, such an important and economically significant rule change would require giving the public months of opportunity to comment, followed by months more of rigorous review of and response to the comments, before finalizing the rule. In a stunning move, the Biden administration provided only 28 days for public comment, thereby receiving only 341 comments.

By contrast, President Donald Trump gave the public a full two months to comment on his administration’s rule governing the billing for abortion services, receiving more than 75,000 public comments. This was consistent with Executive Order 12866, signed by President Bill Clinton in 1993, which provides that rules should generally have at least 60 days for public comment. The Administrative Procedure Act says that unless it’s a national security crisis or other urgent situation, less than 30 days of review is not advisable.

Lawyers for the British teenager found guilty of lying about being gang-raped in Cyprus have launched an appeal to the country's Supreme Court to overturn the conviction.

The woman, now 21, was given a four-month suspended sentenced for allegedly making up claims that she was abused up to a dozen Israelis during a vacation in Cyprus in 2019.

A legal team argued at a hearing today that the lower court shouldn't have admitted the then 19-year-old's written retraction as evidence because investigators obtained it after she sat in a police station for seven hours without a lawyer or an interpreter.

The team headed by British lawyer Lewis Power said that the woman - whose identity hasn't been formally released - was suffering from a stress disorder and had been pressured into making an 'unreliable' retraction.

The team said the 'discourteous' lower court judge failed to provide the woman with a 'fair hearing,' because he didn't give defence lawyers the chance to put forward evidence supporting the woman's claims.

Lewis said in a written statement that the legal team believes that 'ultimately justice will be achieved' so that the woman 'can free herself from the shackles of an unjust conviction which has tarnished her young life.'

Lead prosecutor Adamos Demosthenous told The Associated Press that the state would 'support the correctness of the original ruling' and stands by it.

Europe’s top human rights organization calls on Poland to change criminal definition of rape

In a statement released on Thursday, the Council of Europe called on Poland to change its definition of rape to ensure women are better protected, warning that, currently, the law could let assailants walk free.

Europe’s top human rights body urged the EU member state to alter its current legal definition of rape over concerns that it doesn’t cover “all non-consensual acts,” with existing legislation focusing on a “force-based definition.”

“Without a consent-based definition of rape in criminal law, prosecutors will invariably decide against seeking an indictment in cases where the sexual act is undisputed, but consent is not,” the Council of Europe warned.

The statement from the Council of Europe comes after Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party imposed stricter anti-abortion laws, essentially banning the procedure despite strong protests from women’s rights activists.

The Council of Europe issued a number of reforms, beyond altering the definition of rape, that are designed to ensure women are better protected within the Polish healthcare system. Other recommendations include improving emergency care and services for individuals who suffer sexual abuse, bolstering training for healthcare professionals and police so they are properly equipped to cope with cases, and encouraging greater communication between officials and women’s rights groups.

The European body’s concerns were sparked by a review taken by the Council of Europe into the implementation of the 2014 Istanbul Convention, a treaty aimed at preventing and fighting violence against women. Currently, of the EU’s 27 member states, six – Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia – have failed to ratify the treaty. Poland has signed and ratified the convention but has clashed with the EU over its domestic women’s rights policies.

Anthony Fauci Dismissed Masks in 2019 as a ‘Paranoid’ Tool

White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci once dismissed wearing a mask to prevent infectious disease as a “paranoid” tool, laughing at the prospect during a 2019 sit-down interview on The David Rubenstein Show.

During the interview, which aired May 22, 2019, nearly a year before the Chinese coronavirus pandemic hit, Rubenstein and Fauci discussed infectious diseases, vaccines, and measures of protection to prevent illness. At the end of the interview, Rubenstein asked the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director to weigh in on the best way to protect oneself from infectious disease.

“And the best way to prevent me from getting an infectious disease and having to have you as my doctor is what? Wearing a mask — ” he began, triggering a quick dismissal from Fauci.

“No, no, no,” Fauci said, letting out a laugh.

“I don’t need to do that,” Rubenstein said following Fauci’s reaction. “If somebody’s– I can see they’re getting ready to sneeze or cough, walk away?”

“You avoid all the paranoid aspects and do something positive,” Fauci responded, seemingly categorizing mask-wearing as a tool of the “paranoid.”

“A. Good diet. B. You don’t smoke, I know. I know you don’t drink. At least not very much, so that’s pretty good. Get some exercise. I know that you don’t get as much exercise as you should,” Fauci continued.

“Get good sleep. I think the normal, low tech healthy things are the best things you can do, David, to stay healthy,” Fauci added.

This is hardly the first time Fauci has dismissed the need for masks. During a 60 Minutes interview in March 2020, at the start of the pandemic, he suggested masks provided more psychological relief than anything else.

“Right now, people should not be walking, there’s no reason to be walking around with a mask,” Fauci said at the time:

“When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is,” he said, warning of the “unintended consequences.”

“People keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face,” he added:
