It's gonna happen. Look into the state of automotive replacement parts. For many months, they sent pure junk, then when that became obvious… they simply went out of stock.
We're not talking about a few systems, but essential parts across the entire car.
I understand HVAC guys are facing the same… Hope your furnace doesn't quit.
No chips… there is inventory (taking huge storage spaces), but it isn't quite finished.
They will never announce they are doing this… they just go out of stock on every essential item.
