It is likely that it is not what you think it is. It is endemic to our species; it has been this way for A Very Long Time. When you carefully study psychopathy, all the “random pieces of the puzzle” fall neatly into place. Psychopathy knows no ideologies or bounds.

The next, most-critical step, is to read the following three books, in the order noted (listed and linked among the sources at the bottom of the above-noted post):

1 - “The Mask of Sanity” by Hervey Cleckley (Free to download. You do not need to read all the case studies; trust your intuition.)

2 - “Without Conscience” by Robert D. Hare

3 - “Political Ponerology” by Andrzej M. Łobaczewski (read it S L O W L Y, at least twice)

Once you begin to understand the fundamentals of psychopathy, you can then begin to review its (most-ancient) history. As many have long-noted, “The rabbit hole is very deep, and very dark . . . ” [VERY]
