The average price of the Citation XLS is $4,495,000

The Citation XLS is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW545B engines with 3,975 pounds of thrust, and a Honeywell Primus 1000 EFIS avionics suite upgrades from the Citation Excel panel. The interior includes seating for nine passengers, indirect LED lighting, fold-out tables, and a couch. Additionally, the triple-sealed entry door and triple-pane windows make the cabin quiet and draft-free, while the external compartment is enlarged to 80 cubic feet to provide more storage space. The updated Citation XLS can climb to 43,000 feet in twenty-five minutes - 48 minutes faster than the Citation Excel.

By 2018, Citation XLS aircraft were priced near $4M. Production of the Citation XLS ended in 2008, with a total of 330 being delivered. 329 of the jets are still in operation, and 5.5% are currently for sale on the market. 238 of the fleet are wholly owned. North America is the largest holder of the XLS jet with 57%, and Europe follows with 24%. NetJets is the largest fleet operator with 46 aircraft.
