Texas Abortionist Says He’s Already Violated the New ‘Heartbeat’ Law

A Texas abortionist has admitted that he has already broken the state’s new law banning the procedures after a fetal heartbeat is detected.

Alan Braid, an obstetrician-gynecologist at Alamo Womens Reproductive Services in San Antonio, wrote an essay that was published in the Washington Post admitting to performing an abortion past the legal limit in the state.

He said that he deliberately violated the law so that he can challenge it in court.

In his op-ed, Braid explained that he has been performing abortions for the last 45 years, writing “when the Supreme Court issued its ruling in Roe v. Wade in 1973, recognizing abortion as a constitutional right, it enabled me to do the job I was trained to do.”

“Then, this month, everything changed. A new Texas law, known as S.B. 8, virtually banned any abortion beyond about the sixth week of pregnancy. It shut down about 80 percent of the abortion services we provide. Anyone who suspects I have violated the new law can sue me for at least $10,000. They could also sue anybody who helps a person obtain an abortion past the new limit, including, apparently, the driver who brings a patient to my clinic,” Braid wrote. “For me, it is 1972 all over again.”

Braid wrote that on the morning of September 6 he performed an abortion on a woman who was beyond the state’s limit — five days after the new law went into effect.

Under the law, anyone can sue an abortionist or anyone who aids and abets a woman getting an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected. They cannot sue the woman, however.

“I fully understood that there could be legal consequences — but I wanted to make sure that Texas didn’t get away with its bid to prevent this blatantly unconstitutional law from being tested,” he wrote.

Until the new law was passed, his clinic was performing abortions up to 22 weeks. It is possible for a baby delivered at this age to survive outside the womb.

The abortionist is so committed to terminating pregnancies, he explained, that his clinic has been referring patients out of state and offering to assist with funding if they are too far along to have the procedure under Texas law.

Jake Tapper played a clip of Biden telling Americans Covid boosters would be available pending FDA approval during the week of September 20.

“The FDA’s former chief scientist told CNN Friday that Biden was making that announcement ahead of time. Before the FDA and the CDC made theirs was quote, ‘Backwards and not helpful and at the very least,’ even though he did say appending approval. This is causing more confusion. Was it a mistake for the president to announce this before the FDA and CDC issued their guidance?” Jake Tapper asked Fauci.

Fauci covered for Biden: “Jake, I don’t think so. The president was very clear as was the medical group when we said we are planning to do this, and it was always said in his official statement, in the official written statement from all of us, including the FDA and the CDC that was pending and on the condition of the examination of all of the data by the FDA. It’s understandable how there could have been some confusion, but what was said was pretty clear, Jake.”

“You want to have some scientific proof. That’s the reason why right now we recommend that people go by the guidelines according to the FDA approval and the CDC recommendations,” he added.

India plans to reopen for international tourism within 10 days, reports say, will issue free visas to first 500,000 travelers

An official statement announcing the reopening of India’s borders for international tourists could be released in the coming days, the country’s media have reported. As a bonus, half a million visas will be issued free of charge.

For the first time in one-and-a-half years, India could welcome foreign travelers by the end of this month, the country’s biggest news agency, the Press Trust of India (PTI), said on Sunday. A formal announcement is expected within the next 10 days, according to PTI, citing a source in India’s Ministry of Home Affairs.

Authorities are still deciding whether to apply any limiting conditions for travelers, such as proof of vaccination, or whether to restrict arrivals from certain countries, a source added.

In a move to resuscitate its tourism industry, the Indian government – seeing a decline in Covid-19 cases – has also decided to issue entry visas free of charge. The complimentary visas will be given out until the end of March 2022, or to the first 500,000 travelers, whichever occurs sooner, according to the report. News of the free visas has been confirmed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Times of India reported on Sunday.

To help revive the country after a nationwide lockdown that was introduced in March last year, vaccinations are being prioritized for states that are popular with international tourists, Modi said on Saturday. He mentioned Goa in particular as “a strong marker of Brand India,” and a state of boundless possibilities, saying it should play an important role in bringing travelers back to the pandemic-stricken country.

Having praised Goa’s vaccination efforts, the Indian prime minister said 100% of the state’s eligible population have received at least one vaccine dose. As long as hotel employees, taxi drivers and shopkeepers are jabbed, people will travel to Goa with a sense of safety, Modi suggested, calling it a “major milestone in the fight against coronavirus… [which] fills me with great joy.”

India is among the countries that suffered most from Covid-19, with nearly 33.5 million confirmed cases and almost 445,000 deaths. However, it has recently started seeing a decline in active infections. According to its Health Ministry’s latest bulletin on Sunday, 30,773 new cases and 309 deaths have been registered in the past 24 hours. India’s recovery rate stands at some 97.6%. More than 14.5% of its population have been fully vaccinated.

Chinese Regime’s Forced Organ Harvesting Could Spread to Other Countries, NGO Director Warns

The communist regime in China would export its horrific practice of forced organ harvesting once it was able to tear down ethical standards in the transplant industry established by the West, warned Dr. Torsten Trey.

Trey, founder and executive director of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), sounded the warning during a recent interview with EpochTV’s “Crossroads” program. He was commenting on how the Chinese regime has for decades persecuted prisoners of conscience, in order to drive its industrial-scale operations to supply harvested organs to the transplant market.

Given China’s ambitions to dominate many industries, Trey said that Beijing has also sought to become the leader in the transplant sector.

“In Western countries, we follow ethical standards for the benefit of the patient. There is a purpose of it, that comes with waiting time,” he said. “It is based on free voluntary consent as a foundation to donate organs.”

He said, “This concept of free voluntary consent is basically destroyed in the concept of forced organ harvesting.”

In other words, he said that the Chinese regime sees Western medical standards as a threat to its practice of forced organ harvesting.

“So China is highly interested in tearing down this [Western] system to basically make forced organ harvesting the common standard in transplant medicine,” he added.

China has been one of the top destinations for transplant tourism, as Chinese hospitals offer organ transplants with very short waiting times while claiming that their organs originate from the country’s voluntary donation system. Beijing claims it has not sourced organs from executed prisoners since 2015.

However, a London-based people’s tribunal refuted the CCP’s claim in a 2019 report. It concluded that the stated-sanctioned practice of forced organ harvesting was happening on a “significant scale” in China, with Falun Gong practitioners being the main source of organs.

Adherents of Falun Gong, a spiritual exercise also known as Falun Dafa, have been the targets of persecution by the Chinese regime since 1999.

Allegations of forced organ harvesting from detained Falun Gong adherents first emerged in 2006.

Once China became the leading voice in the transplant sector, it would set “new standards” in the transplant field, Trey said.

At that time, Trey warned Beijing would be “unrestricted in its pursuit to eradicate” prisoners of conscience without international scrutiny or criticism.

Trey said he had the chance to speak to several people who were nearly victims of China’s forced organ harvesting in recent years.

No Vaccine Rules for Big U.N. Meeting: Free Pass for World Leaders

The U.N. General Assembly will ignore vaccine requirements for attendees at next week’s big meeting in New York, snubbing NYC rules for convention centers and public gatherings.

Presidents, premiers, monarchs, dignitaries, diplomats and their traveling staff members have been told by organizers they won’t have to show coronavirus vaccination passports or other proof of inoculation on arrival at U.N. headquarters on Turtle Bay, Manhattan.

Instead attendees plus their staff will be waved through and allowed admission free of any checks with more than 100 heads of state and government and over 20 foreign ministers signed up to speak in person.

An honor system — and only an honor system – means dignitaries won’t have to show vaccination cards or other proof of inoculation as they’ll simply attest to it by swiping their ID badges at the assembly hall.

The freedom from regulation follows a precedent first set at the G7 meeting in the UK earlier this year.

The decision to ignore the rules as applied to the general public in NYC came after Russia challenged an earlier proof of vaccination requirement on the grounds it was an infringement on personal liberties.

“We strongly object that only people with a proof of vaccination should be admitted to the GA hall,” Russia’s ambassador Vassily Nebenzia wrote in protest to U.N. officials.

He described it as “a clearly discriminatory measure”, adding that preventing delegates access to the hall was a “clear violation of the U.N. charter.”

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro for one isn’t vaccinated and reiterated Thursday he has no plans to get the coronavirus shot anytime soon, AP reports.

“Why take the vaccine? To have antibodies, isn’t that right? My antibody levels are way up high,” Bolsonaro said in a live broadcast on social media Thursday night. “After everybody in Brazil is vaccinated, I’ll decide.”

The AP report said a message sent to New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office wasn’t immediately returned. He has previously maintained the city’s aim is to protect both assembly attendees and New Yorkers from the virus.

Gay Swedish Priest Vows He Will Not Marry Straight Couples

Openly homosexual Church of Sweden priest Lars Gårdfeldt has vowed to refuse marriage ceremonies for straight people in protest of a loophole that allows priests to refuse to marry homosexual couples.

Gårdfeldt, who serves as a priest in the city of Gothenburg, said he will no longer marry heterosexual couples while other priests are able to deny homosexual couples in the Church of Sweden.

He said the rules that allow priests not to marry certain people should also apply in his case, telling broadcaster Sveriges Radio: “Then it has to apply to me as a homosexual, then I have to say no to hetero couples.”

According to the newspaper Goteborgs-Posten, Gårdfeldt has been an LGBT activist within the Swedish church for 25 years and married his male partner in 2006 in a ceremony in Canada before the Swedish government, and later the Church of Sweden, approved of same-sex marriage in 2009.

Torgny Lindén, Press Secretary of the Diocese of Gothenburg, commented on Gårdfeldt’s announcement, telling newspaper Expressen: “We have freedom of expression in this country. Lars Gårdfeldt has entered the debate and said this. We have no opinion on this.”

“I want to show the absurdity, theologically and ethically reprehensible, of denying marriage to consenting adults. I want to turn the debate right. We’re not recruiting gay priests. We should not ordain new priests who pass on the idea that homosexuals are inferior people,” Gårdfeldt told the newspaper.

The issue of same-sex marriage has become a focal point of the upcoming church elections in Sweden, with some advocating that all priests should be forced to conduct same-sex marriages regardless of their religious beliefs.

Jerker Schmidt, a priest and church politician for the Bourgeois Alternative, has advocated that all priests should be made to marry homosexual couples, saying: “It’s about the church’s image of God and the view of man.”

The issue has been discussed in the Swedish church since 2017 when Anna Ekström, a member of the Free Liberals, submitted a motion to repeal the “conscience clause which allows priests to reject same-sex marriage or other marriages they have objections to.”

‘The numbers are skewed’: Colorado officials warn of inflated COVID death statistics

Multiple public officials in Colorado, meanwhile, told “Full Measure” host Sharyl Attkisson that they had personally observed death tallies that erred on the side of COVID, leading to death counts that were effectively misleading to the public.

Brenda Bock, the county coroner for Grand County, told Attkisson that in November she processed a murder-suicide case “and the very next day it showed up on the state website as COVID death.”

“And they were gunshot wounds,” she continued. “And I questioned that immediately because I had not even signed off the death certificates yet, and the state was already reporting them as COVID deaths.”

Orwell’s authoritarian surveillance state is finally here: Amazon to release new TVs that feature constant spying on everything you say

Fans of Amazon are sure to be receptive to the online e-tail behemoth’s latest technology, Fire TVs, because they will simply make streaming the company’s video offerings, programs and movies that much easier.

What the company isn’t telling the owners of those new TVs, which start shipping in October, is that they will literally be inviting in the government surveillance state that visionary author George Orwell warned about in his prophetic book “1984.”

The Verge, a site that reports on technology, notes:

Amazon is officially in the TV business. The company has announced its first lineup of Amazon-branded 4K Fire TVs, which will begin shipping in October. This is a major expansion from the company’s “Fire TV Edition” collaborations, where its popular streaming software comes preloaded on sets manufactured by other TV makers. But with its new Omni and 4-Series, Amazon is describing these as “Amazon-built TVs.”

The Omni series is the higher-end of the two, and beyond offering better picture quality, its other key selling point is hands-free voice control. Amazon includes far-field microphones in each model of the Omni series, which comes in 43, 50, 55, 65, and 75 inches. (Only the 65- and 75-inch models have Dolby Vision, but the others at least get HDR10.)

Cool, right?

The Verge went on to note that by building the TV, Amazon executives think they will be able to “create a more seamless Fire TV user experience” than previously, when users were required to use the Fire “stick,” a streaming device that plugs into other ‘smart’ TVs.

But here’s the catch. The new tech really just gives Amazon and, by default, the government, an easier ability to listen in on TV owners.

“…Amazon believes that Alexa voice controls add a major convenience factor,” The Verge reports.

“On Omni sets, voice commands are always available — even if the TV is off. These voice commands can be used for finding something to watch, like usual, but you can also adjust the TV’s brightness, volume, or switch inputs with Alexa,” the outlet continued.

However, these ‘voice command’ modules and devices that tens of millions of Americans have in their homes are all secret listening and recording devices.
