You can argue about the safety of the vaccine all day but the premise is flawed. What have we developed truly effective vaccines for? We’ve developed them for acutely debilitating and deadly diseases (e.g. mumps, measles, polio, etc). We also have a flu vaccine but its effectiveness is very debatable and we pretty much guess which strain of flu will be out from year to year. If we guess wrong, it’s pretty much useless. The bottom line is COVID has a 99.8% overall recovery rate. The real flu is more dangerous. We don’t need a vaccine for a virus with a 0.2% mortality rate.
