Data From Yelp Shows 60% of All Businesses that Shut Down During COVID Are Now Permanently Closed

It’s official – more than 50% of the businesses across the nation that closed during the COVID hysteria of the past year are now permanently closed.

In July this year New York’s former governor Cuomo was begging businesses to come back to New York. It was too late, Cuomo and numerous tyrannical governors across the nation had done their damage. Millions were laid off and small businesses across the nation were closed.

It is too late for Cuomo and all the governors who relished destroying Americans’ jobs, businesses, and livelihoods. These jobs are gone for good.

Data from Yelp shows the jobs are gone.

Yelp on Wednesday released its latest Economic Impact Report, revealing business closures across the U.S. are increasing as a result of the coronavirus pandemic’s economic toll.

As of Aug. 31, some 163,735 businesses have indicated on Yelp that they have closed. That’s down from the 180,000 that closed at the very beginning of the pandemic. However, it actually shows a 23% increase in the number of closures since mid-July.

In addition to monitoring closed businesses, Yelp also takes into account the businesses whose closures have become permanent. That number has steadily increased throughout the past six months, now reaching 97,966, representing 60% of closed businesses that won’t be reopening.

“Overall, Yelp’s data shows that business closures have continued to rise with a 34% increase in permanent closures since our last report in mid-July,” Justin Norman, vice president of data science at Yelp, told CNBC.

The Indictment of Hillary Clinton's Lawyer is an Indictment of the Russiagate Wing of U.S. Media

The DOJ's new charging document, approved by Biden's Attorney General, sheds bright light onto the Russiagate fraud and how journalistic corruption was key.

A lawyer for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign was indicted on Wednesday with one felony count of lying to the FBI about a fraudulent Russiagate story he helped propagate. Michael Sussman was charged with the crime by Special Counsel John Durham, who was appointed by Trump Attorney General William Barr to investigate possible crimes committed as part of the Russiagate investigation and whose work is now overseen and approved by Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Sussman's indictment, approved by Garland, is the second allegation of criminal impropriety regarding Russiagate's origins. In January, Durham secured a guilty plea from an FBI agent, Kevin Clinesmith, for lying to the FISA court and submitting an altered email in order to spy on former Trump campaign official Carter Page.

The law firm where Sussman is a partner, Perkins Coie, is a major player in Democratic Party politics. One of its partners at the time of the alleged crime, Marc Elias, has become a liberal social media star after having served as General Counsel to the Clinton 2016 campaign. Elias abruptly announced that he was leaving the firm three weeks ago, and thus far no charges have been filed against him.

The lie that Sussman allegedly told the FBI occurred in the context of his mid-2016 attempt to spread a completely fictitious story: that there was a "secret server” discovered by unnamed internet experts that allowed the Trump organization to communicate with Russia-based Alfa Bank. In the context of the 2016 election, in which the Clinton campaign had elevated Trump's alleged ties to the Kremlin to center stage, this secret communication channel was peddled by Sussman — both to the FBI and to Clinton-friendly journalists — as smoking-gun proof of nefarious activities between Trump and the Russians. Less than two months prior to the 2016 election, Sussman secured a meeting at the FBI's headquarters with the Bureau's top lawyer, James Baker, and provided him data which he claimed proved this communication channel.

It was in the course of trying to lure the FBI into investigating this scam conspiracy theory when Sussman allegedly lied to Baker, by concealing the fact — outright denying — that he was peddling the story in his role as lawyer for the Hillary Clinton campaign as well as a lawyer for a "tech executive” hoping to be appointed as the top cybersecurity official in the soon-to-be-inaugurated Clinton administration. Sussman's claims that he was just acting as a concerned private citizen were negated by numerous documents obtained by Durham's investigation, including billing records where he charged the Clinton campaign for his work in trying to disseminate this story, including his meeting with Baker at FBI's headquarters.

Megadeth Frontman Dave Mustaine: Masks And Lockdowns Are Tyrannical, We Have The Power To Change Things

Dave Mustaine, frontman of the metal band Megadeth, slammed mask fans and lockdown advocates during a concert in Camden, New Jersey last week, noting that “Tyranny right now is in the schools, and tyranny is in the medical business.” Mustaine also lauded the festive atmosphere of the concert and said, “We’re not freaking out, and we’re not yelling at people: ‘Where’s your f**king mask?’”

“But I just wanna tell you how great it is. Look around you guys, look to your right, look to your left, and look how wonderful this is,” Mustaine said after noting that he was having a “great fking time,” to thunderous applause. “We’re all here together, we’re not in fking bags, you know? We’re not freaking out, and we’re not yelling at people: ‘Where’s your f**king mask?’ Where’s your mask, you loud cow?”

“See, the thing right now that’s going on, is tyranny,” Mustaine continued. “This is called tyranny. Look it up when you get home. And tyranny isn’t only in government. Tyranny right now is in the schools, and tyranny is in the medical business. We have the power, especially us – heavy metal fans – we have the power to change things.”

The musician’s remarks were met with thunderous applause, accompanied by chants of “USA! USA! USA!” and “F**k Joe Biden.”

Mask activists and lockdowns were also castigated recently by rap artist Busta Rhymes:

“This is my second show in front of human life in the last fifteen fkin’ months,” Rhymes said, to raucous applause. “COVID can suck a dk. All these little weird-ass government policies and mandates can suck a d**k. Stop tryin’ to take our civil liberties away. It feels good to be back outside, we outside for real.”

“It’s called the God-given right of freedom, right?” he continued. “No human being supposed to tell you you can’t even breathe freely. Fk your mask. I mean I’m sayin’, some of y’all might feel differently but, fk your mask. I can’t rhyme to you with a mask on. We can’t eat food with a fking mask on. We can’t even see each other smile with a mask on. I come from a time when before I even used to want to holler at a chick, I used to have to do st with my face to let her know that I’m into her.”

NIH Director Collins Believes Pfizer Booster Shots Will Be Expanded Despite FDA Panel’s Recommendation

The head of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, Francis Collins, said he believes COVID-19 vaccine booster doses will be expanded despite a panel of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) experts recommending against them for the general population.

With an overwhelming majority, the panel voted against recommending Pfizer’s COVID-19 booster for most of the general population but later approved them for individuals aged 65 and older, who are the most likely to suffer severe symptoms from the disease. Some scientists on the panel expressed concerns that side-effects associated with the vaccine such as myocarditis, a type of heart inflammation, are not properly understood and suggested that young people don’t need boosters for now.

But in an interview on Sunday morning, Collins, whose agency does not oversee the FDA, said that the booster doses will be approved in the future.

“I think the big news is that they actually did approve the initiation of boosters, and remember they’re taking a snapshot of right now. We’re going to see what happens in the coming weeks,” Collins told “Fox News Sunday.”

“It would surprise me if it does not become clear over the next few weeks, that administration of boosters may need to be enlarged.”

For the claim, Collins referenced studies and data published in Israel and the United States, which Pfizer also cited to make its arguments in favor of booster doses to the FDA.

“Based upon the data that we’ve already seen both in the U.S. and in Israel, it’s clear that waning of the effectiveness of those vaccines is a reality, and we need to respond to it,” Collins said, adding that he would be “surprised” if the boosters are not recommended for individuals younger than 65. However, he told the broadcaster that he isn’t sure if “absolutely everyone” will be recommended to get boosters.

“I’m a little troubled that people are complaining that the process isn’t working for them,” he said. “The process is to look at the data have the experts consider it, and then make their best judgment at that point, recognizing that the judgments may change.”

On Sept. 17, the FDA’s vaccine advisory panel voted 16-3 against providing booster doses of Pfizer’s vaccine after an hourslong discussion in which many scientists struck a skeptical tone. They, however, voted 18-0 to recommend boosters, or third doses, to the 65-and-older age group.

“We are not bound at FDA by your vote, just so you understand that. We can tweak this as need be,” Dr. Peter Marks, the agency’s top vaccine official, said after the votes were cast.

Before that, Dr. James Hildreth, a voting member on the FDA expert panel, said that he “[has] a serious concern of myocarditis in young people.” The FDA previously issued warnings that—while rare—Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, both of which are built on mRNA technology, could cause myocarditis or pericarditis among younger recipients.

“I honestly don’t think there is enough good quality data at this point to make an informed decision,” Brittany Kmush, an epidemiologist at Syracuse University, said of the Israeli study, noting the 12-day follow-up period and the variability of the authors’ estimates.

Another FDA advisor, Dr. Melinda Wharton, meanwhile, echoed Hildreth’s concerns and said she would “not feel comfortable” with recommending boosters to younger people due to the risk of myocarditis. Younger people are not at risk of developing severe illness from COVID-19 or becoming severe breakthrough cases, she noted.

Military Aircraft Crashes Into Houses in Lake Worth, Texas: Officials

A military aircraft crashed into a residential area in a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas, on Sept. 19, leaving at least two homes severely damaged and several people being treated for injuries, officials said.

The Lake Worth Fire Department wrote on Twitter that the crash occurred during a military training exercise. The agency said that the plane, which wasn’t identified, went down around the 4000 blocks of Tejas Trail and Dakota Trail.

Lake Worth Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian told WFAA-TV that homes in the area are being evacuated. About 1,300 customers in the neighborhood are without power, officials told the station.

Witnesses told KXAS-5 that two people appeared to have ejected from the aircraft. One of them was seriously injured after getting tangled in power lines.

“I was in my car on [State Highway] 199 right in front of the donut shop when the pilot landed on the powerlines,” Cara Camp said. “While driving, I heard a loud explosion and debris was hitting the car.”

Another witness, Kaitlyn Deramus, said she saw two people eject from the plane before seeing it crash.

“I knew there are old ladies in that house that it happened at and I was banging on their door but they wouldn’t come out because they thought it was just a car, so I grabbed them out,” Deramus said, according to KXAS. “The house behind that, I ran over to the next street and got that lady out of that house because she’s paralyzed and she needed to get out.”

“I’m having anxiety, but all I wanted to do was save those old ladies because I’ve known them since I was really, really, little,” she continued. “They’re OK physically.”

Another woman posted video footage from the scene, saying that she couldn’t believe “we just saw a plane crash” in Lake Worth, adding to “please pray” for the victims.

The neighborhood is located about a mile north of Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. It isn’t clear where the plane is based, however.

France-UK Defense Minister Meeting Canceled Over AUKUS Fracas - Report

Earlier this week, France recalled its ambassadors to the United States and Australia, bringing modern-day relations between the two countries to an unprecedented low. While the French ambassador to the UK was not recalled, the French foreign minister noted it was only because Paris was aware of the "UK's constant opportunism".

The French-British defense ministers meeting scheduled for next week has been canceled by Paris, following an intensified row over the unexpected announcement of a new trilateral security pact between the US, the UK and Australia, dubbed AUKUS, which effectively stripped the French government of a lucrative weapons sale, The Guardian reported on Sunday.

UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace and his French counterpart, Florence Parly, were reportedly scheduled to hold a bilateral discussion in London. The Franco-British Council Defense's top officials from Europe's military heavyweights were also expected to attend the meeting.

The event, however, has been "postponed to a later date," according to Franco-British Council co-chair Peter Ricketts, a former UK national security adviser, according to reports. Parly's scheduled travel to London is said to have become unnecessary as the event will not take place.

British sources reportedly expressed optimism that discussions would go ahead.

“We have a strong and close working defence partnership with the French as trusted allies,” an unnamed official is reported to have said, citing collaborative counter-terrorism operations in Mali and Iraq as instances of the two countries' connection.

Concerns over the French reaction prompted US President Joe Biden to request a meeting with Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, in an attempt to resolve the spat.

This also comes ahead of British PM Boris Johnson's and UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss's upcoming trip to the US. Both will attend the United Nations General Assembly, with Johnson expected to make his first visit to the White House as prime minister, to speak with Biden.
