Study: Fully vaccinated people with "breakthrough" COVID Delta infections carry as much virus as the unvaccinated
A study by University of Oxford scientists has found that people who contract the Delta variant of COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated carry a similar amount of the coronavirus as those who catch the disease and have not been inoculated. The researchers stressed that vaccination still offers good protection against catching the disease in the first place, and protects against getting seriously ill with it.
The survey of real-world U.K. data indicates, however, that vaccinated people with "breakthrough" infections could still pose a significant infection risk to those who have not been vaccinated.
"With Delta, infections occurring following two vaccinations had similar peak viral burden to those in unvaccinated individuals," the study, which has not yet been peer reviewed, concludes. Viral "burden" or viral load refers to how much coronavirus-infected people carry and thus "shed," or release into the environment around them, where it can potentially infect others.

Federal officer arrested at Capitol rally won’t be charged
A federal law enforcement officer was arrested carrying a gun at Saturday’s rally at the U.S. Capitol billed to support the suspects charged in January’s insurrection but will not be prosecuted.
The 27-year-old New Jersey man is an officer with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
He was arrested by Capitol Police for illegally possessing a gun on the grounds of the Capitol after people in the crowd reported seeing him with a handgun and notified nearby officers.
His arrest and presence at the event were surprising because the rally was billed as an event to support those who have been charged in January’s riot. That riot left dozens of police officers beaten, bloodied and bruised as the crowd of pro-Trump rioters, some armed with pipes, bats and bear spray, charged into the Capitol, quickly overrunning the overwhelmed police force.

Prince Andrew Served With Papers in Epstein Sexual Abuse Civil Lawsuit
His Royal Highness Prince Andrew’s lawyer in Los Angeles has been served with legal papers notifying the member of Britain’s Royal Family of a civil lawsuit in the United States, accusing the Duke of sexual assaulting a teenager.
The lawsuit claims that Prince Andrew sexually assaulted alleged Jeffery Epsilon victim Virginia Giuffre, 38, who was underage at the time of the alleged attack. Ms Giuffre, 38, has accused the prince of committing battery and intentionally inflicting emotional distress upon her.
Guiffre said that she was forced to have sex with the Duke when she was 17-years-old at properties owned by deceased paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in Manhattan and the infamous island in the Caribbean, as well as in London.
Prince Andrew has stridently denied having sex with the teenager, saying in 2019: “It didn’t happen”.
A legal summons and complaint papers were sent by FedEx and email on Monday to Prince Andrew’s American lawyer Andrew B Brettler, of the LA-based Lavely & Singer law firm, Sky News reported.
Papers were also sent to the Royal Courts of Justice in London from a court in New York. He will have 21 days to respond to the claim or face a default judgement.

Man who recorded Los Angeles beating of Rodney King dies of COVID-19 complications
eorge Holliday, the man who recorded the grainy video of four Los Angeles police department officers beating Rodney King in 1991, has died due to complications from COVID-19. Holliday was reportedly hospitalized in L.A. for nearly a month before passing away Sunday.
According to the Associated Press, Holliday, 61, contracted pneumonia and was placed on a ventilator in recent days – he had not been vaccinated.
