More bad news for unvaxxed NSW residents
Unvaccinated residents hoping to reap the rewards when NSW hits its 80 per cent vaccination goal have been delivered a crushing blow.
Unvaxxed won’t come out of lockdown at 80 per cent
Premier Gladys Berejiklian has delivered some bad news for unvaccinated residents, revealing they won’t be enjoying any extra freedoms when the state reaches it 80 per cent vaccination goal.
A number of restrictions are set to ease for fully vaccinated residents when 70 per cent of NSW residents are fully vaccinated, however, Ms Berejiklian has warned even at 80 per cent new freedoms will only be available to those who have been vaxxed.
“At 80 per cent additional freedoms will be for those who are fully vaccinated,” the Premier said.
She said it would be a “period of time” after that before unvaccinated people can enjoy those same freedoms and that decision will be based on the health advice.
