I know someone who knows researchers of one of the vax developers.
Basically, according to them, the procedure for the vax had been in place and the only criteria needed was the details of the pathogen. Once that is known, the specific vax determination doesn't take long.
That said, looking at a scenario where Trump asked researchers what a rollout would look like and the applicable timeline to delivery, he probably got the message that it was doable in the time frame he was looking at. Nothing, technically, that would prohibit that.
It wasn't a blank paper start, and had been in research testing or some time
So, say Trump looks at what the upside and downside is, and weighs the benefits vs. detriments to a expedited rollout and made his decision accordingly?
That's the reality of a buck stops here decision.
Anyway, this stuff about Trump shoulda asked 8Kun first and he'd be OK and still in office now isn't too comforting, from my POV. The blanket assumption that the researchers are all devious and the only true information comes from anonymous posters on an image board gets old after a while.
The actual motives for the manipulations and dynamics behind events unfolding now are too far beyond any casual interpretation to be worth much.
Make a vax decision, yeas or nay and go with it. I don't see the need for any browbeating of those who may not make the same decision if someone is assured, themselves, that their decision was the correct one for them.
