What I never understood about the basis behind pro choice vs pro life is the dichotomy behind those that scream that it is a woman’s body and her right to choose and the (now increasingly) larger number of un-replaced members of our citizenry.

It’s not like I have this urge to remove body autonomy from my fellow women citizens. Hell, I don’t even believe that a human is a human as a clump of cells. Is it alive? Yeah, it’s microscopic heart is pumping and soon a brain will develop so it is alive.

I’m a rare Republican in this ideology, I think.

However, my argument against pro choice revolves around one major pillar. Numbers.

Every abortion is -1 to America’s future best and brightest. With the influx of boomers dying off as quickly as they come in, we’re going to be seeing a 100m US Population within twenty years and no backup generations to uphold the entirety of the country’s infrastructure and ecosystem.

It’s not about religion.

It’s not about gender philosophy.

It’s not about patriarchy vs women.

It’s all about the shear numbers we are losing.

I am a mistake baby.

My parents made me one night and they didn’t care about safety. Obviously I wasn’t aborted.

Mistake baby making isn’t an excuse to hurt your country’s future. Truck loads of people are mistakes. It is kind of an important thing to make babies, mistakes or not.

Disclaimer:

Babies created via abusive circumstances such as rape do not qualify in my ethical scenario. They are fair to abort, not because they are a mistake but because it is purely a lifelong character destructor whereas the baby and the mother will never be able to live a life that doesn’t somehow revolve around the horror that resulted in the baby’s life.

Allowing the abortion of a raped woman is mercy to the unborn and the woman from a cyclical journey of Hell at every waking day.
