Exactly. Most people don't think about it because they get taxes taken out of their checks by their employer. They don't even consider it their money. So many sleeping people out there have no idea how fucked up "normal" always was.
And that's most certainly on the VERY low end.
No doubt they're lying. They want the unvaccinated to feel isolated and fearful of being rejected by the "majority". I'm sure the reality is exactly the opposite, just like the illusion that liberals are the majority. Between rigging elections, suppression polls, and controlling all forms of media and propaganda outlets, they can create any illusion they want, including the illusion that there's this horrible virus out there killing everybody. It's all lies.
