I actually think Scheller is in protective custody because there’s a lot if corrupt Generals, Admirals and other leaders that want him dead.
Thats my thought, plus I think the leaders of the Marines put him up to this, challenging McKenzie and itgers but not challenging the Commanding Officer of the Marines.

Who do the Marines report to, only the CIC! Remember a number of years back the other setvices said the Marines were useless elite squad and the US needs to eliminate them? Thats because they reported directly to the President/CIC. Now think about the attempts of abolishing the Space Force! Yep its all about control and COC, so if they’re only chain is to the President/CIC the MIC has no conttol over him!
