It's called a moka pot. I think they're supposed to have originated in Italy. They make espresso. But, since I don't like coffee that burns my mouth, I add water to the result, and it's more like regular coffee.

Those are the coffee makers that run the water through a single serve plastic cup. Just the fact that it goes through that plastic cup is disgusting enough. But every cup made generates another plastic cup of waste. I don't know what those machines are made of. But I've heard that they need cleaning that they often don't get.

Easiest coffee maker I've used was a tea infuser. Drop it into the coffee cup, add ground coffee, pour hot water over, let sit to brew, then pull it out of the cup. Tea kettle can be used to heat the water.
