I am building a Web3 chat app with option for encryption layer that will be set by your own choosing of passphrase. You and the selected members of your room can predetermine a code-word that will encrypt the conversation so only those with the passphrase can know what's being discussed. You will have to share the passphrase using PGP email, unless anyones got a better idea of how to get the passphrase to others anonymously?
The app is built, I'm just working out the encryption layer, currently using Fernet encryption.

I have a "normie-me" computer on Windows 10. I don't ever post anything that would effect my social credit score negatively on that box nor watch any videos that would mark me as dissident. It's odd bouncing back and forth between the terminal and the button-pushing OS but after a bit, you learn to appreciate the benefits of both. I just get tired of dragging a mouse cursor around for everything when I could just push a keyboard shortcut and do tasks in a fraction of the time.
