completely agree. i have completed active shooter ems training, and the advanced active shooter training course, and on the final day of training we conducted a large scale city center event. i was encountered with a double amputee equipped with lood discharge devices, it looked very real indeed. i did my job applying 2 tourniquets to both stumps.. the bleeding stopped, and it all happened so fast that i had to take it all in and couldnt fully understand what i had just done for HOURS afterwards.. i knew it was training, i knew we were dealing with crisis actors, but had NO IDEA what i was dealing with in the moment. 'training' took over.. thought was in the background.
