The 'covid is benign' theory plays perfectly for their needs. Find a virus that looks just like every other common virus, give it a new name. Let the testing and statistical 'cases' be twisted in any way that suits the narrative. Cases rising, cases falling, deaths and recoveries, studies of efficacy and whatever. If Covid were really unique, or special in some particular way, then they never could have conflated flu with it, and it woudl have been much harder to sell the BS.
