Seems likely.
The nanobots referred to before… were designed to deliver a payload. I would presume it could also collect and refill it's cargo hold… like a parasite. Inject mRNA and collect a DNA sample perhaps… report the data back via 5g…?
Nanosite may become an appropriate term yet.
