Yesterday we reported a crazy story about a guy from Illinois and the St. Louis area who was involved with lining up a meeting between some Chinese leaders and Joe Biden in the White House. The Illinois guy was Gary Fears who had business associates who were believed to be members of the mob.

Today we have more on Mr. Fears.

In November 2011, Gary Fears had dealings with Tucson businessman Gary Triano. The middle aged Triano was killed when his car blew up with him in it.

Although it was later claimed that Triano’s death was not connected to the mob, it was first suspected that the mob and specifically Gary Fears had ordered a hit on Triano due to the debt he owed Fears.

…Several of Triano’s business associates had a motive to kill him, Herberg said, including Gary Fears, who was suspected of ordering two other murders. Herberg described Fears as the head of a non-La Cosa Nostra organized crime group and said Triano was preparing to sue Fears for $10 million over a failed business venture.

“Gary Triano was investigated for money laundering, skimming, and filed bankruptcy to discharge millions in lawful debt. Under the circumstances of numerous organized crime connections, it is reasonable to infer that Gary Triano had debts beyond the lawful debts discharged in bankruptcy in June 1996. Gary Triano was also threatening the interests of organized crime people,” Herberg wrote.

This same Gary Fears, who was not assigned to any relationship to Triano’s murder, is the same guy that Hunter used to connect Chinese leaders to VP Joe Biden in the White House.

DOJ Inspector General Horowitz Finds Widespread Errors in FBI’s FISA Requests Used to Spy on Americans

We’ve known this now for years and finally, DOJ Inspector General Horowitz addresses it.

The Justice Department inspector general Thursday faulted the FBI for “widespread” errors in its applications for surveillance authority, concluding that the bureau failed to provide supporting documentation for sensitive wiretap requests.

Building on a 2019 examination of the FBI’s surveillance of a former Trump aide, Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the bureau did not include adequate support for 183 surveillance applications between 2015 and 2020 following a review of more than 7,000 such requests.

The findings, Horowitz said “highlights the need for the FBI and DOJ to ensure rigorous supervisory review and robust oversight to help reduce the risk of erroneous information being included in (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) FISA applications.”

The FISA, enacted in 1978, outlines procedures investigators must follow when they ask judges for permission to conduct electronic surveillance of people suspected of acting as foreign agents.

What Horowitz’s new report ignores is that the Russia Hoax, which was the brainchild of Hillary Clinton, was used by the FBI to spy on President Trump and anyone near him in order to overthrow or impede his Administration and its initiatives.

It’s no surprise the FBI is corrupt or that it uses FISA warrants as an excuse to spy on Americans they want to target. The problem is when the FBI illegally spies on political opponents, nothing happens, no one goes to jail.

Former Long Beach police officer arrested on federal indictment alleging he distributed and possessed child pornography following HSI probe

LOS ANGELES – A former Long Beach Police officer has been arrested pursuant to a federal grand jury indictment alleging he possessed and distributed child pornography when he was working as a law enforcement officer.

Anthony Brown, 57, of Lakewood, was arrested Wednesday morning by special agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Los Angeles. At his arraignment in U.S. District Court Wednesday afternoon, Brown pleaded not guilty to three counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

According to the indictment returned on September 21, Brown used MeWe, an internet-based messaging application, to distribute sexually explicit images of girls in November 2019 and April 2020.

From October 2019 through May 2020, Brown also knowingly possessed a sexually explicit image of a girl who had not yet reached the age of 12, the indictment alleges.

Brown was a Long Beach Police officer for 27 years. He left the force earlier this year after his arrest on state charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has dismissed those charges in light of the federal case.

At Wednesday’s arraignment, Brown was released on bond. A trial was scheduled for November 23.

If convicted of all charges, Brown would face a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and a statutory maximum sentence of 80 years in federal prison.

HSI Los Angeles and the Long Beach Police Department investigated this matter.

The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California’s Public Corruption and Civil Rights and General Crimes Sections.

China cracks human-smuggling case, detaining 229

Chinese police have cracked a human-smuggling case and arrested 229 suspects after investigations lasting more than a year, the National Immigration Administration (NIA) said Wednesday.

In the case, several foreigners were found to have arranged for people from neighboring countries to sneak into China, said the NIA, adding that the police broke up 10 criminal gangs and seized 15 vehicles and funds worth over 350,000 yuan (54,000 U.S. dollars) involved in the case.

An official of the NIA vowed strengthened cooperation with procuratorates and courts to investigate the criminal liability of the suspects in accordance with the law.

What's more, Omarova supports several progressive proposals - including the Green New Deal, and the creation of a giant bureaucracy she dubbed the National Investment Authority, which would - among other things - coordinate the long term economic strategy for the United States with upcoming infrastructure developments, according to the Washington Free Beacon. It would also manage a "big and bold" climate agenda.

The authority would have a congressionally approved governing board and regional offices across the country. Homeland Security Department issues new guidelines limiting which illegal migrants can be detained

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has issued far-reaching new directives to immigration officers saying that an illegal immigrant's legal status "should not alone be the basis" of a decision to deport them from the U.S.

According to Mayorkas, the Biden administration is focused on prioritizing the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants who pose a threat to national security, and those who recently crossed a border illegally to enter the U.S.

Farmworkers, says Mayorkas, should not be the top priority of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, nor should the elderly.

During the Trump administration, ICE officers were permitted to arrest any individual in the United States illegally. The new rules also prevent immigration officers from detaining illegal migrants who fall upon the radar of the agency because they spoke out against "unscrupulous" landlords or employers, or were noticed while at public demonstrations.

"The overriding question is whether the noncitizen poses a current threat to public safety," wrote the secretary in a memo that was disseminated Thursday.

"Are we going to spend the time apprehending and removing the farmworker who is breaking his or her back to pick fruit that we all put on our tables?" Because if we pursue that individual, we will not be spending those same resources on somebody who does, in fact, threaten our safety. And that is what this is about," he said.

The administration is fighting for a legislative path to citizenship for roughly 11 million illegal migrants now in the country, many of whom have lived here for years.

But talks with Republicans continue to lead nowhere, and the Senate parliamentarian has repeatedly denied Democrats' attempt to include significant pieces of immigration reform in the massive $3.5 trillion budget package that they plan on passing via reconciliation.

NYPD ‘Hate Crime’ Task Force Includes Chinese Regime Propagandist Who Says Xi Jinping Is ‘Doing A Good Job.’

Chinese state propagandists have wormed their way onto Marxist political NYPD groups.

The New York Police Department’s newly launched hate crime review panel includes Fred Teng, who runs a Chinese Communist Party-linked influence group and has repeatedly praised regime leader Xi Jinping, The National Pulse can reveal.

Teng is one of the five members of the panel, which was inaugurated in April, and will advise the New York Police Department (NYPD) on which crimes should be classified as hate crimes. The group will also advise the District Attorney’s office on the hate crime classification.

Teng, who was born in Shanghai and now resides in New York, has several executives roles at Chinese Communist Party-linked groups including serving as the President of the America China Public Affairs Institute (ACPAI), a visiting professor at the Chinese government-run Sichuan University, and the senior U.S. representative of the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).

Teng is also the former CEO of China Newsweek, a regime-controlled propaganda magazine based in Beijing under the control of the State Council. Teng has defended the spread of Chinese state-run media in the U.S. in a 2012 BBC article, insisting:

China Secures LNG Mega Deal With Qatar Amid Europe’s Gas Crunch

Europe imports about five percent of its natural gas supplies from the Gulf sheikhdom, with nearly two thirds of the region’s supplies, or 65 percent, coming from Russia, Norway, and Algeria, who make up 41 percent, 16 percent, and 8 percent of imports, respectively.

The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has secured a 15-year, 52.5 million metric tonne liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply contract with Doha.

The agreement, announced at a virtual signing ceremony on Wednesday, will see the delivery of 3.5 million tonnes per year (t/y) of LNG starting in 2022, bringing total Chinese-Qatari trade in natural gas to 15.5 million t/y.

“We are pleased to further build upon our strong relationship with the China National Offshore Oil Corporation with the signing of this new long-term LNG supply agreement,” Qatari Energy Minister Saad Sherida al-Kaabi said at the ceremony.

“We are especially proud to continue to meet the People’s Republic of China’s growing need for cleaner energy that LNG provides, and are thankful to the China National Offshore Oil Corporation for partnering with us as their trusted LNG supplier,” the minister added.

Qatar is one of the largest natural gas producers in the world, regularly ranking fifth or sixth in annual global rankings. The vast majority of the sheikhdom’s exports are accounted for by the Asian market, including Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and India, with just a fraction of its estimated annual output of 77 million t/y delivered to other markets, including Europe.

This spring, CNOOC signalled interest in Qatar’s North Field LNG expansion – a massive gas production project expected to go online in the mid-2020s and produce at least 36 million tonnes in additional new gas each year. Doha hopes to expand its total gas production to as much as 126 million t/y by the year 2027. Qatar shares North Field – the world’s biggest known gas deposit – with Iran in the Persian Gulf.

Lockheed Exec Refuses To Comment On Video Exposing Mystery Aviation Technology On Secret Testing Base

The general manager of Lockheed’s most secretive arm, known as “Skunk Works”, refused to comment Tuesday on a mysterious aviation technology spotted recently at a Lockheed testing facility in the Mojave Desert outside of Palmdale, California.

A video began making the rounds on Twitter Sept. 22 exposing an oddly shaped, sleek aircraft being loaded onto a flatbed trailer.

The video was re-posted by Ruben Hofs, an aviation enthusiast, who he says stumbled across it on TikTok.

Hofs, intrigued with the scaffolding in the background of the video, cross-referenced it with Google Maps and figured out that it was likely filmed at Skunk Works’ Helendale Radar Cross Section Facility.

Skunk Works, a military aviation technology division of Lockheed Martin, formally known as the Advanced Development Program, develops many top-secret U.S. military aircraft.

Defense One’s Global Business Editor Marcus Weisgerber hosted a conversation with Jeff Babione, Lockheed Martin’s vice president and general manager of Skunk Works on Tuesday.

Weisgerber asked Babione about the video of the alleged Skunk Works’ aircraft technology.

“Alright, Jeff, we’ve gotten a number of questions about this, and it was about a video last week that surfaced on Twitter of an AFA [Aerial Rocket Artillery]” at “allegedly a Lockheed facility in some shape if you will on the back of a flatbed truck,” Weisgerber said. He then asked, “Are you able to tell us anything about what we saw?”

Babione smiled and replied, “I can’t.”

“Ok,” Weisgerber laughed, “Has your security posture changed?”

Babione chuckled, took a deep breath, and responded, “Uh, we’re, we’re in good shape.”

Another reporter, Steve Trimble for Aviation Week, reported that he showed the video to Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly, who heads up Air Combat Command.

“His immediate reply was that he had no idea what it was,” Trimble wrote on Twitter. “And then he took my laptop and stared at it for about 20 seconds. His expression was (WARNING: my impression) somewhere between confused and impressed.”

Palaszczuk 'treating people like mugs'

Minister for Defence Peter Dutton has accused Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk of "treating people like mugs" when asked if he thinks she is delaying a lockdown for the sake of the NRL Grand Final.

The game is set to go ahead on Sunday despite fresh cases in the state.

Mr Dutton pointed toward those suffering under Queensland's strict border controls, with some residents unable to return home or reunite with families.

"There is a lot of cynicism out there Karl and understandably so," Mr Dutton told Today.

"Everyone wishes the Premier well in her decision making but there have been a lot of decisions at odds with common sense.

"When they're turning people away from funerals and not allowing kids to repatriate with their parents across the border, and we have businesses going broke, people starved from seeing families and loved ones, and then we see the Premier holding on because of the NRL grand final on Sunday, I think that rubs people up the wrong way.

All of us are NRL fans and want to see it go ahead, but the health of people in Queensland is paramount and I don't think the Premier should be treating us like mugs."
