[Pearline Kirk], the former controller for the Navajo Nation, is accused of using her position to defraud the tribe out of $3 million in COVID-19 funds.

criminal complaints against Kirk were filed under seal
charges were recently unsealed in tribal court
The tribe so far has received more than $[1.7] billion from the American Rescue Plan Act
