Your morning Air Gitmo Update. Relatively busy day for the Gitmo International, kek.

On the list today is two trips with an Embraer Phenom 300 Twin Jet from Fort Lauderdale Intl (A regular flight on the weekly, but two in one day is a bit interesting?)

An Amerijet Cargo plane from Norfolk Chambers Field (happens fairly regular)

A Sun Country Airlines passenger jet from Jacksonville Naval Air Station (a regular flight that typically happens every other Tuesday)

And we have a United Airlines flight from Washington Dulles Intl. This flight doesn't happen very often, and I can only recall two other flights from Washington Dulles Intl. this year since I've been watching Gitmo traffic. A bit dasting.

I just noticed the squawk. Possible Department of Defense code.

5100, 5200, 5300, 5500 US Internal ARTCC subsets assigned by Enroute Safety and Operations Support. (Blocks of discrete codes except that xx00 is used as a non-discrete code after all discrete codes are assigned.)[3]

5100–5300 US May be used by DOD aircraft beyond radar coverage but inside US controlled airspace with coordination as appropriate with applicable Area Operations Directorate.[3]
