I don't have any school age children, but I'm wondering now if I should start a neighborhood homeschool type place. I can take in a few children. We will start the day with prayer and then the raising of our flag, singing the national anthem.

Our first lesson will be a reading by one of the students of our Country's founding history. We will always read also the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc. going through these an hour a day throughout the school year. Then English (Reading/Writing), Math, Science, Bible Study. Close with prayer for our families, friends, neighbors and towns.

I've heard that 40 in the Bible represents something that has been confirmed, i.e. once something has lasted 40 years, it is confirmed as something true and right. In other words it has lasting power! Cannot be destroyed!

I live in a small rural area. One local school that all the children go to. Don't know of anyone here that does homeschooling. But if the Cali board does mandate shots, a lot of children will want to leave! Where will they go? It's had for the parents to have one home, not working, not possible in this economic mess we're in! So, they need help from the community. What about from people who are home anyway and want to help? Then the single mom's have a place to take their children!

I was going to call a friend I know that homeschooled her children. She used to get her books from a home schooling place but I didn't know the details. Thank you!

 

I'm also thinking that I could ask parents to each commit an hour a day out of their time to come and help teach something and be involved. That would really help, then they are still in control. A lot of them here have their own small family business so they work from home. They can commit an hour a day or maybe per week, what ever works best. Then I'd have more time to also do some of the management work and keep things organized, plan field trips etc.
