Spoopy. Comms?

Seven baby squirrels got their tails in a knot. Then Michigan cops stepped in to help

These baby squirrels got in a bind — literally.

Seven squirrels were found at the bottom of a tree in Michigan with their tails tied in a knot, according to the Grand Blanc Township Police Department. When officers learned of the predicament, they went to help out.

“It appears they became entangled while in their nest and finally grew to a point the nest couldn’t hold them,” police posted Friday on Facebook.

So, while the mother squirrel watched, the officers and a resident untangled the mess and freed her kits, police said.

This isn’t the first time young squirrels have been found with their tails tied together.

In 2018, six squirrel kits got tied together in Nebraska and a wildlife rehab organization spent an hour untangling them while under anesthesia, McClatchy News reported.

In Wisconsin the same year, the tails of five squirrels got knotted with long grass, strips of plastic and other human-made material, McClatchy News reported.

So, why does this keep happening?

Squirrels can get their tails stuck together after spending months together in their drey, or nest, according to Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control, a company with locations in the U.S. and Canada.

“The material used to build the nest often gets entangled with the tails and merges them together,” according to Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control. “Over time the situation becomes more complicated as additional material joins thefusionand the fur becomes matted, essentially trapping the squirrels together.”

Grand Blanc Township is located 11 miles from Flint, Michigan.

Rudy Giuliani admits under oath that he got some of his 'evidence' of alleged election fraud from Facebook

Rudy Giuliani admitted under oath that his "evidence" of voter fraud in the 2020 election came partly from Facebook and that he did not interview or fact-check his sources, reports say.

Donald Trump's former personal lawyer made the comments in a deposition on August 14 in relation to a defamation lawsuit brought by a former Dominion Voting Systems employee, Eric Coomer, MSNBC reported.

Coomer is suing the Trump campaign and others for promoting baseless conspiracy theories that he helped "rig" the election for Joe Biden.

In the deposition, Giuliani admitted that he got some of his information about Coomer's alleged role in the election fraud from his social media posts but couldn't be sure if it was Facebook or another platform, MSNBC said.

"Those social media posts get all one to me," Giuliani said.

When questioned about whether he saw any other evidence linking Coomer with election fraud, he responded, "Right now, I can't recall anything else that I laid eyes on."

The conspiracy theories about Coomer were sparked by accusations made by right-wing podcast host Joe Oltmann.

Oltmann claimed to have infiltrated an Antifa conference call in which someone who identified themselves as "Eric from Dominion" boasted about preventing Trump from winning the election, The New York Times reported. Oltmann offered no proof of his claims.

The podcast host then found Eric Coomer's Facebook profile, on which he supposedly had written anti-Trump messages.

Giuliani and other Trump allies seized upon Oltmann's allegations, repeating them in a now-infamous November 19 press conference.

" One of the Smartmatic patent holders, Eric Coomer, I believe his name is, is on the web as being recorded in a conversation with ANTIFA members saying that he had the election rigged for Mr. Biden," Giuliani said.

But according to court papers filed by Coomer's lawyers, Giuliani spent "virtually no time" investigating the claims.

The filings said that Giuliani did not speak to Oltmann about the claims and did not reach out to Coomer or Dominion about them.

Giuliani said he was too busy when asked why he repeated Oltmann's accusations without verifying them.

"It's not my job in a fast-moving case to go out and investigate every piece of evidence that's given to me," Giuliani said in the deposition, reported by MSNBC.

"Why wouldn't I believe him? I would have to have been a terrible lawyer… gee, let's go find out it's untrue. I didn't have the time to do that."

After being named by Giuliani and lawyer Sidney Powell in the November press conference, Coomer briefly had to go into hiding.

Trump and his allies have continued to promote baseless conspiracy theories that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.

The Justice Department has said it found no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the election, and dozens of lawsuits challenging the results of the 2020 election have failed.

Real or Fake News? Tired of this part of the "MOVIE."

Donald Trump: 'I got the Pfizer' vaccine, leaves door open to getting booster shot

Donald J. Trump joined Yahoo Finance for a wide-ranging conversation covering topics such as the U.S. economy, COVID-19 vaccines, cryptocurrencies, and his thinking on a third run for the presidency in 2024. The full interview will be released on Monday.

Former President Donald Trump has revealed which COVID-19 vaccine he received before leaving the White House.

"Well, I got the Pfizer and I would have been very happy with any of them," Trump told Yahoo Finance Live in a wide-ranging interview.

The Trump administration spent $18 billion dollars on Operation Warp Speed to develop and deliver multiple vaccine candidates from firms like Pfizer (PFE) Moderna (MRNA) and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) although Pfizer developed its vaccine without any money from the U.S. government.

Trump contracted COVID last fall at the height of the 2020 presidential campaign.

"I had it, recovered from it pretty well. I don't think I had it like the press, like the media said, you know, they would try to make it difficult," the former president said. "It's not pleasant, but I had it."

He and his wife Melania, who also recovered from COVID last fall, received their vaccinations shortly before leaving Washington in January, but waited until last March to disclose that.

'I thought it would have been gone'

On Friday, deaths from COVID-19 in the United States topped 700,000, a grim milestone that makes the outbreak more deadly than the pandemics of 1918 and 1919.

"I thought it would have been gone long before now," the former president told Yahoo Finance.

The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently authorized COVID-19 vaccine booster shots, for Americans 65 years and older to protect against deadly variants of the virus.

Trump said he might get one, "If I felt that it was necessary and let's see where this whole thing is going."

Even though Trump's Operation Warp Speed is credited with advancing the vaccine's development and distribution in record time, the former president's supporters have been among the most resistant to the vaccine. At a recent rally in Cullman Alabama, attendees booed Trump when he recommended they get inoculated against COVID-19.

"I believe totally in your freedoms, I do, you've got to do what you've got to do, but I recommend that you take the vaccines," Trump said at the time.
