Insubordination can only occur when the employee disobeys a request that is reasonable, ethical, and part of their normal job duties. In other words, the request cannot be illegal or dangerous, like we mentioned above. Also, insubordination is not the same as debate or disagreement.
I think some poor fired employee just needs to appeal their unemployment disqualification all the way to SCOTUS to sort this nonsense out. Claim refused to show Employer medial records because it is HIPAA violation.
