(Start of) Dig on Petrofac, Ayman Asfari, John Kerry, Clinton Foundation (more)

This will get long as more pieces are fitted together.

But if you want something to dig on or read:

A multinational oil firm, which was led by a major Conservative donor, has admitted that its employees paid bribes to land contracts, as it struck a deal to end a corruption investigation into the company.

In June, the Guardian disclosed that the SFO had been investigating Petrofac for allegedly paying million-pound bribes to secure contracts in nine countries. The agency examined alleged payments made by Petrofac since the early 2000s to land contracts in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, including Kuwait and Algeria.

Syria Campaign was established with seed-funding from the Syrian oil baron, Ayman Asfari, residing in the UK and known to be funding the UK Conservative party. Since the establishment of the White Helmets in 2013, Syria Campaign has mainly been responsible for the numerous advertising campaigns that promote and effectively whitewash the questionable affiliations and activities of the so-called “first responders” in Syria.

Oil & Gas Middle East speaks exclusively to Petrofac group chief executive officer, Ayman Asfai, on how he will maintain the company’s upward trajectory and what made Petrofac the company of choice for energy powerhouse Mubadala

The Middle East has been a significant source of capital projects that has helped drive the growth in Petrofac’s backlog recently, and key among those developments has been the company’s tie-up with Abu Dhabi’s energy powerhouse, Mubadala. The joint venture was formed in September 2008, and its significance for Petrofac cannot be overstated.
