A constitution is to save us if we lapse, if we forget the values we once held.
It is a reminder to be who we are. The constitution is not an ideal to strive for.
It is how we lived when we didn't have a constitution.
Of values we held once
and may hold again by conscious choice and spiritual effort.
The constitution is not something we must point to to justify our actions.
It's how we live and when we live it, we don't need it. Only when we forget.
The same thing is true of our laws.
