A word on the "Invalid image" error. I tried to upload an mp4 a short while ago and got the error. Yet, we are seeing some mp4s being successfully uploaded. Why is this? Well, I've come to realize that the successful uploads are of videos which have been uploaded before. The posting server (not the same server that is serving the images) still has the original video on record and thus allows the fresh copy. That is, it scraps the upload because it already has it. Any videos which have not been uploaded before will be rejected so don't even bother. Sound about right?
