eh… not really. while it is capable of scavanging free radicals, ubiquinone's PRIMARY function is as an energy transport molecule, part of the Q cycle, and it aids in electron transport, particularly across the mitochondrial barrier. ubiquinol is a reduced form that is more water soluble and more readily absorbed from the GI tract. your liver makes ubiquinone, so unless you're over 80 or have major liver damage, you don't really need to take any.
