Colorado Edition: Janitors on strike; upcoming ballot proposals; a different approach to addition recovery
Late last week, dozens of janitors at the Denver International Airport left their posts and headed to the picket lines. This came after an agreement with their employer expired and negotiations for a new contract went south. KUNC's Michael de Yoanna tells us what the workers hoped to accomplish.
When Colorado voters receive their November ballots, they’ll come across a new Republicanproposal aiming to dilute Gov. Jared Polis’ emergency spending power. According to KUNC's Capitol reporter Scott Franz, the proposed amendment would require lawmakers to approve how such custodial funds are spent.
