Nothing's "legit" unless you see it for yourself in person. Even then, you might not be seeing what you think is being described to you. There's also lots of fear porn on both sides. Either way, it's not a good look. Rock stars with 10 million in net worth that made their careers hyper sexualizing everything are also no more role models than corrupt doctors with their hands in experimental drugs and gain of function research. Presidents shouldn't have to hide their intentions behind hyperbole and allegory (what's the point?). As has been stated, repeatedly, the vaccines aren't guaranteed to prevent infection 100%. Hell, your natural immunity is better; point blank. Doesn't mean the vaccines don't do anything, and doesn't mean all 80 million people are going to refuse them just to have no fallback career wise.

Folks can "hold the line" all they want, but there will be those where the bank send the sheriff's office to evict them from their house due to back payments on the mortgage. Some folks are in much better situations than others (like retired rock stars). Some folks still have mortgages to pay. Some folks are going to have to brave the vaccines and take supplements to "flush" them best they can. Some folks are going to be first in line for the boosters every time they are pushed. Hopefully, what's left of humanity in the USA can rally around the real "mark" which will be the required COVID passports to buy sammiches, or pay the water bill (like what patriots in Europe and Aussie land are doing now).

We got another 3 years of this shit. I sure do hope we all can hold it together. I'm looking forward to class action lawsuits taking down big pharma for good. When we can get to that point, we'll finally be "winning" at a level most all can conceive, and not just the adept at reading "comms" or "hidden meanings".

It's more about control than anything. Again, the fear porn on both sides discredits both sides. People are being experimented on, publicly. The issue that should be being exposed in this exercise is that of too many being too trusting of Big Pharma.
