>The comrades sitting on those boards don't give a damn how mad the mommas get, or how vehemently they protest.

^^^^^^^ this

Anon absolutely knows this to be true from experience. For most, it's just laziness. There is a disconnect between what goes on in the school and the school board.

I can promise you that the majority of school boards don't know 90% of what goes on in a school because all their info comes from ONE person: the superintendent. They rely on him to tell them what's going on and to present what they need to vote on. It's a volunteer position so most have regular jobs. They show up, super gives them recommendations, they vote and go home. All they know is what he/she tells them. You don't need a board of corrupt people, you only need one corrupt person, and most superintendents nowadays are more than willing to lie to preserve their 6 figure salaries.

Parents, a very simple and non-violent way to fight this battle of school:

Pull your kid. Schools get fed dollars based on enrollment. Unenroll them.

Anon believes soon every parent will have to make a choice between convenience and their kid.

There must be something wrong with this anon. The wilder it gets, the less I feel, yet, have never felt more alive.

That said, anon has been thru things that has burned most of the emotion right outta me. A horrific blessing in disguise, I guess.

Hang in there, anon. Take this time to rest. At your appointed time, I have no doubt you will rise to the occasion and meet the challenge.

Brave Parents Fire Back at DOJ and National School Board Association After Categorizing them “Domestic Terrorists”

The Parents Defending Education Organization that has 427,000 members from several parents organizations, has responded and released an epic joint letter to NSBA. The letter, written on behalf of its members, made clear that the NSBA’s claims of “hate” and “terrorism” were shameful and it is a “thinly veiled threat, intended to intimidate into silence and submission the very constituents that your members ostensibly represent.”

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/10/brave-parents-fire-back-doj-national-school-board-association-categorizing-domestic-terrorists-video/

Text of letter:

>On behalf of our 427,000 members, the undersigned organizations write in response to your September 29th letter to President Biden requesting “federal assistance to stop threats and acts of violence” against school board members, school officials, and teachers.

>In that letter you requested that the federal government “investigate, intercept, and prevent the current threats and acts of violence against our public school officials through existing statutes, executive authority, interagency and intergovernmental task forces, and other extraordinary measures” and that the government leverage “the expertise and resources of the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Secret Service, and its

National Threat Assessment Center.”

NSBA cites a tiny number of minor incidents in order to insinuate that parents who are criticizing and protesting the decisions of school boards are engaging in, or may be engaging in, “domestic terrorism

and hate crimes.”

>NSBA even invokes the PATRIOT Act. The association of legitimate protest with terrorism and violence reveals both your contempt for parents and your unwillingness to understand and hear the sincere cries of parents on behalf of their children. To equate parents with terrorists dishonors the thousands of victims of actual terrorism around the world. Have you no shame?

>Your letter to President Biden is a thinly veiled threat, intended to intimidate into silence and submission the very constituents that your members ostensibly represent.

>Our organizations unequivocally oppose violence and find it deeply troubling that you imply otherwise

about concerned citizens who care deeply about their community’s children – and who are concerned

by the direction that America’s schools have taken.

>Citizens are angry that school boards and school officials around the country are restricting access to public meetings, limiting public comment, and in some cases conducting business via text messages in violation of state open meetings laws. They are angry that schools are charging them thousands of dollars in public records requests to view curriculum and training materials that impact their children and that should be open to the public by default. They are angry that pandemic-related learning losses have compounded the already-low reading, writing, and math proficiency rates in America’s schools. They are angry that rather than focusing on declining student achievement, large numbers of districts have chosen to fund, often with hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money, “social justice” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” programs with finite resources.

>Your members refuse to listen to these concerns – and your association has chosen to smear their

constituents rather than engage with them in good faith. It is appalling that you would choose to threaten your fellow Americans for having the courage to hold you accountable for your failures.

>We will not be bullied. We will not have our speech chilled. We have a constitutional right to petition our elected officials, and we will continue to do so.

>We ask that your organization – and your members – engage respectfully and constructively with the country’s parents, grandparents, and concerned citizens so that we might work together to address and improve the quality of America’s public education system for all children.

(Hoping for no green text fail)

Anon won't say my ties to school boards, but this is usually how it works. In TX, anyway. Boards usually meet once a month for 1-2 hours. The agenda to be voted on has already been set, usually by the superintendent, although board members can ask the super to put stuff on the agenda. Because board members have actual jobs, they trust that the super will set on the agenda what needs to be addressed, and give them ALL of the pertinent info needed to make an informed decision. I've seen it happen time and time again. I've known supers to cover for what they know are illegal acts by teachers and the board is none the wiser because they aren't in the school day in and day out.. Superintendent doesn't even have to lie most of the time, just leave out certain info, because he knows the board members don't have time to investigate this stuff themselves.

Think about it: you have a hysterical mother come to the board meeting, screaming the coach is getting too chummy with her daughter. She's already been to the superintendent with complaints but because it's a he said/she said, and he always supports his teachers, the super does not tell the board. It would make him look like he can't control his school if he did. So irate mommy goes to the board meeting. The board cannot respond to her at that time, so in executive session, closed to the public, ask the super about it. Super, who will cover his teacher, says mom is nuts, "just look at her hysterical behavior" "she's always complaining about something" "I've investigated and there is nothing there."

Who are they to believe? The hysterical, screaming mother or the educated professional with many degrees hanging on the wall?

I've seen that very situation, and others like it, play out multiple times.
