The Public School System is a Socialist idea.
The Constitution does not guarantee that every child receive a free & public education.
A child's education is a parent's responsibility, not the responsibility of The State.
Feeding & clothing children is also the responsibility of parents, it is not the responsibility of The State.
The Public Education System is a way for the State to kidnap people's kids and brainwash them under the guise of "education"
I have worked in many, many classrooms.
Teachers are control freaks.
They hate it when parents come into their classrooms and start nosing around.
Parents aren't allowed in their kid's classrooms without going thru the school office first.
The school will say it is for the safety of the children. It's not. It's for them to have complete control.
The Public Schools even go beyond control of the schools and the classrooms. They control the lives of the families who have their kids there.
They call the shots. They decide the hours, they decide the days off. They decide the curriculum. They decide the homework and projects that they expect parents help their kids to do in their own homes.
If you are helping your kid with homework or a project, you are already homeschooling.
Why not take the control away from them and give it to yourself.
You decide the curriculum.
You decide the schedule.
You decide the homework & projects & field trips.
etc.
If homeschooling is not possible, then start a small private school with no government involvement where you get to make the decisions with the parents of the other kids.
Half of my property taxes go to fund the Public School System. The Public School System is a money pit. They have overpaid administrators and they waste money continually. But they are always begging for more money.
People who don't have any kids still have to pay into it.
And people who homeschool or send their kids to private schools still have to pay into it but get nothing in return. So they actually are paying double. They pay for their own kid's education and other people's kid's education.
The NEA is evil.
I was a member of the NEA for awhile.
I was on their email list and kept getting pro-Democratic propaganda bs.
Pissed me off.
People who pay into the NEA who aren't Dems. are actually supporting the Dems.
The NEA does not help teachers. It is a ruse.

We went on strike and got a raise, yay us, we did it.

Same here in Chicago suburb, actually closer to $6000. And I don't have a big house either. Just a 3 bedroom raised ranch. And they raise the taxes every year.
Police Dept. - everyone uses
Fire Dept. - everyone uses
Parks & Rec. - anyone can use
Try going into a Public School by your house. There is no access to the public that pays for it.
The Public High School by my house put on a giant addition of a fitness center. It is only available to the HS students though, not to the public that actually paid for it. If the public wants to go to a fitness center they have to pay to join a private fitness center.
And during Pride Month the Public High School has a big electronic sign saying that they support Pride students or some such nonsense.
It would be better if the government just got the fuck out of the business of Education.
When I saw Sandy Hook on TV the day it happened, my first thought was, oh here we go, they are shooting kids to get their gun grab.
So if the kids didn't really die, and the normies are made aware of that, it would actually redeem the mofos who set it up.
They could say, we didn't really shoot any kids, it was just a ruse so that we could convince people that gun grabbing is a good idea.
But they never, never admit guilt. Only if they are boxed in will they use it as an escape hatch.
