I should add that Genesis 2 says that the Lord God acquired the Earth, but he really is a trespasser here.
Man was given dominion over the Earth in Genesis 1 and we never relinquished it. The Lord God came here and put us in the Garden/Enclosure/Matrix to "work and keep it" and we have been fighting to get out ever since.
