Catholicfag here. There's a big difference between a Pope like John Paul II and Francis. Ratzinger is somewhere in between the two. He was much to hardline, often of the "blind obedience" type.
John Paul II was consistent and stuck it to those Commie fucks in Russia. Notable that he was Polish.
Francis deliberately allows his words to be misconstrued by the MSM in an attempt to appease.
John Paul II was a Catholic.
Francis is a Jesuit. Many Catholics do not care for Francis. On the other hand, an odd cult of personality has arisen with Francis in our parishes and schools.
Do not trust Jesuits (I spent 8 years at their schools/ universities). They practically invented "Social Justice." I knew of "Social Justice" and knew it was a lie 20+ years ago before most anyone here ever even heard of the concept of "Social Justice."
Likewise, watch the University of Notre Dame. They have involvement with Haiti "aid" and Chile. They allow the worship of Mary. Catholics know not to worship Mary. (The Hail Mary is not a prayer to worship Mary, it is to ask her to intercede with God on our behalf. I doubt many at Notre Dame see it that way.)
Distinctions must be made.
A Good Pope will return. (Or perhaps we will no longer require a Pope when this is all said and done.)
