that is absolutely contrary to medical common sense. ordinarily, they would NEVER inject an insult to the immune system just prior to major surgery. and it makes no sense to vaccinate someone with a non-zero probability of dying from the transplant operation. that would be like patching a leaky roof on a burning house. med common sense would tell them to vax well after recovery from surgery.
