They are trying to kill the sickest transplant patient to give it to the mostly likely to live (or their friends).

But this person has been on the the list so long, and because its a match they have to give it to them, or make it harder. They are making false hurdles medically, for them probably, because they have other patients that have better chances or survival or they have richer friends on the list.

Youre right anon, it makes no medical sense, why jeopardize their immune system before they get a transplant when all future treatment is to get they’re immune sysyem to accept the foreign organ. Anti rejection drugs of transplants are to get the body to accept the donor organ.
