But 40k is a game, all in good fun in freedom and enjoyment.
It's a space marine from 40k. Not promoting cannibalism.
Simply happy that I can enjoy with my child the same things I enjoyed with my father at the same age.
40k tabletop miniatures.
Face to face with a friend, or family.
Board games. Tabletop games. Pencil and Paper games.
Many games nowdays yes, are specifically designed to keep people addicted.
I don't speak for all game designers, simply for myself as a game developer… Not all of us are evil and out to make addicted slaves.
Also… I stay as far away from FB and social media as possible…
Chess… Chess is a game. sure, you can say it manipulates your mind.. in a sense it does… It manipulates your mind by teaching you how to manage many aspects of a situation, and to find the best possible outcome.
The techniques and situational awareness one can learn playing a game like Chess… apply to a lifetime of problem solving.
Always think 7 moves ahead.
I don't play, condone, or create dopamine feed bullshit games… REAL games have substance. Happiness and time with family is still happiness whether you're watching a movie, going out in the woods, playing a board game, doesnt matter.
Don't generalize

CHESS… the game of kings… a War Game. Teaching a child to play chess at a young age has a life long impact on their ability to evaluate -any- situation, and navigate possible outcomes.
