China Threatens "Cataclysmic Upheaval" In Relations After Former Aussie PM Gives Fiery Speech In Taiwan

Australia's former prime minister Tony Abbott visited Taipei on Friday where he gave a speech urging the international community to show "solidarity" with the self-ruled island, resulting in a quick reaction out of China demanding that Canberra officails stay out of its internal affairs.

Abbott provocatively told the conference that "any attempt at coercion would have incalculable consequences" for China and strongly suggested that both the United States and Australia would come to Taiwan's aid militarily. "I don't believe America could stand by and watch [Taiwan] swallowed up," he said, added of his own country: "I don't believe Australia would be indifferent to the fate of a fellow democracy of almost 25 million people."

The bellicose words come on the heels of last month's AUKUS agreement between Australia, the US and UK, which will see nuclear-powered submarine technology transferred to Canberra for the first time in history. Beijing is accusing Australia of violating its own commitments to maintaining a nuclear free zone.

Abbott's speech was met with a response of out Chinese state media mouthpiece Global Times, which said in an op-ed published the same day that Aussie leaders are "recklessly" joining Washington in a push for Taiwan "secessionism". GT author Chen Hong said the following:

"Should Australia be so reckless as to challenge China’s sovereignty over Taiwan, there is absolutely no room for maneuver or diplomatic solution. Seismic changes could take place in the bilateral relations."

The piece further charged Western media and politicians to hyping the Taiwan situation to the point of manufacturing "an atmosphere of crisis" by "distorting and falsifying".

"It is no secret that the anti-China forces in the West have been taking advantage of the media to create an atmosphere of crisis - usually by distorting and falsifying the actual situation - before taking any concrete steps of substance," Chen wrote.

Anti-Trump seer predicts doom for January 6 committee

Anti-Trump strategist Rick Wilson says that, after his investigation, the January 6 committee “is dead already” and Democrats are eager to discuss infrastructure instead.

Wilson, who now works for the Lincoln Project, a fringe group of anti-Trump Republicans that creates short videos and appears on television to say bad things about the 45th President, claims that he made “multiple calls” and came away with the “grim news” regarding the select committee.

“As of now 1/6 commission is dead already,” wrote Wilson. He added that it “will not enforce the subpoenas” the committee issues, meaning each party has no legal requirement to comply with the committee’s requests.

“Trump wins,” said Wilson before describing the events of January 6 as a “terror plot” and noting that he is “livid”.

Biden Rushes Away From White House TV Set, Ignores Reporters After Defending September Jobs Report

Biden leaves his "pretend White House" without taking questions from reporters

Joe Biden scurried away from reporters earlier today after defending the disappointing September jobs report. When reporters panned their cameras to follow Biden’s rapid departure, cameras revealed he was speaking at yet another White House set made to look good on television.

“Today we received more evidence of the progress we’re making,” said Biden of the jobs report, which seemed to show the opposite of his claims. In reality the report revealed that just under 200,000 jobs were added to the economy in September, well under the prediction of 500,000 or more. Labor participation rates are also still much lower than they were just prior to the beginning of the pandemic, under the Trump administration.

Then something strange happened. Biden ended his speech with “May God protect our troops,” and then left abruptly without taking questions from increasingly irritated reporters. That wasn’t the strange part, however, as it was then revealed that the official looking office was not actually an office within the White House but instead yet another TV set described as a “pretend White House” by Benny Johnson of the Arsenal Media Group.

This is not the first time the Biden White House has been questioned for its decision to place the sitting President in a stage instead of one of the actual rooms within the White House. Similar controversy occurred just last week when Biden was recorded receiving his third dose of the Pfizer vaccine, referred to popularly as his first booster dose. Biden is eligible for this third dose because of his advanced age.

As National File reported, when claimed to receive his third dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, it was revealed to the public that Biden was in fact on a stage during the performance, rather than in his real office or at one of the many places to become vaccinated in Washington, D.C.
