The creators of “That ’70s Show” have announced a new sitcom full of angsty teenagers mulling over the decade in which they live.
A spinoff of “That ’70s Show” called “That ’90s Show” is coming to Netflix with the original series’ creators, Bonnie and Terry Turner.
They’re not the only familiar names, though. Two of the Fox sitcom’s original stars, Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman) and Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman), will be coming back to the series. Ten episodes have been ordered by the streaming service.
The official description reads: “Hello, Wisconsin! It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs and rock ’n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.
