My niece is a high school English teacher. She told me that when she gives the kids a research assignment, the kids are only allowed to use resources that are pre-approved by the school. ie Wapo, NYT, etc. They aren't allowed to use stuff that they just find on line on their own.

There is a total control mechanism in place at the Socialist Public Schools.

The first two years of my college education were basically a repeat of what I had already learned in High School. The last two years of college were bullshit requirement courses that basically involved jumping thru hoops.

I have a degree in Elementary education and I can absolutely vouch for the fact that a degree in Elem. Educ. is a pile of bullshit.

Most moms could easily teach their own kids.

My son went to regular school for K-3.

I saw how political the school system was and I was a part of it.

I was a part of the problem.

A friend of mine was homeschooling her own kids. She did not have a college degree.

I checked into homeschooling. Went to a homeschooling conference and decided to try it.

Ended up homeschooling my son from 4th grade all the way thru high school.

No regrets.
