A helicopter crash near Storm King Mountain north of New York City left at least one person dead on Sunday, state police said.
First responders responded to the crash near State Route 218 in Cornwall, Orange County, at 2:30 p.m., police said in a statement.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s not clear if anyone else was riding in the vehicle when it crashed.
An investigation is underway.
Storm King Mountain is located about 50 miles north of New York City.
